Serb Legacy GT Posted November 24, 2012 Share Posted November 24, 2012 I hate the winter and snow, but this year I'm actually kind of hoping for a good snow or two since I bought winter tires 2 weeks ago. I haven't put them on yet, Chicago hasn't gotten that cold although I may put them on next week if we consistently stay below 40F. I have a set of General Arctic's and can't wait to see how it does in the snow. This will be my first winter with the Subaru, first winter with AWD, and first winter with snow tires. I'm also buying a set of Blizzak's for the wife's Fit (General doesn't make a size for it) so I can't wait to see the difference there too. As for the Subaru, snow won't stop it I imagine with the thin tires it comes with the Fit is decent in the snow, but this will be my wife's first time driving in the winter so I am hoping the added benefits of winter tires prevents for her when it snows Looking forward to seeing the Subie in action! I thought that one storm, nice and slow and I'd be fine. At full stop in park the car slid out my driveway. Had to make a quick decision since as you can see, my last tire REALLY came up with a surprise on me! But I put some Hankook Ventus V2 Concept's All season/Performance tires on, not much experience with these, don't expect them to be STELLAR in the snow, but I'm not worried....
