Subaru Legacy gt 2006 - car has been sitting for a few months. I go to start the car but its dead. I try to jump the battery but its powering on the electronics but when I try to crank it, it won't crank - won't even give the sound. The security light flashes. Things ive read that may be the culprit are: -immobilizer -some fuse -clutch safety switch (which I actually have the clutch mod to delete this so I dont have to press the clutch when starting it) Thoughts? FYI: Car is in Seattle at a friends house and I am in MA and im trying to ship it back home but it won't start and car shipping place wants to charge more to put on a flatbed.

Rebuilt trans has be a bit worried. Was it rebuilt with stronger gears or oem? And any mods on it? I would say that its a pretty decent asking price. Id pay no more than 9k for it though

Id pay like... 13-14k for that. But thats just me. As you go deeper in the mods, its harder to find the right buyer. Im not knocking you at all on the price. Me personally, i couldnt see spending $17k on an 8 year old car when for 10k more i could get a new wrx or brz. But on the side note, tell me more about that wrx trans!! 08+ right?

If 6771 is #234 and #255 is 6794.... thats 23 numbers between VIN and 21 numbers between spec b....

Yea unless you have that tiny little plate under the shifter... your screwed. I knew checking the VIN wouldnt really matter because when you type in the VIN at a subaru dealership it doesnt even come up as spec b. Just a legacy gt.

Saw an 07? Spec b at mall in worcester around... 230 iirc.
