^I am not sure why anyone would? Tuner works like RR or any any other tuning program..

 Sort of.....

But no the tuning software wouldn't have anything to do with the operation of the FMIC. BTW I am running a Greddy type S BOV.

So was it ever confirmed that this won't fit with the SPT intake?

I've been doing some research on this kit in general. It will fit the AEM, which is a pretty "deep" intake. My guess it would fit the SPT, though the heat sheild may be another story.

Has anyone been able to straighten the core using brackets? Every picture I have seen shows a tilted core.

Im going to be installing the fmic and aem intake tomorrow. My friend and I are going to try and weld some brackets from the top of intercooler, to the bumper beam. People have been able to get the intercooler straight, it just takes time and minor tweaks

Tune is monday so ill post some numbers on the xo2 fmic compared to the stock top mount

Aren't there bolt locations on the top of the core? I was going to make some brackets from the bumper beam to these bolts locations.

Good luck with your install and tune!

Thanks

Yeah, there are two bolt locations. that what i meant  we're going to try and use those locations to make brackets off of. Then tap the bumper beam for two more bolts and weld bracket to make it an easier unistall in case i ever sell or part out the car.

Cool! Could you take some pics when you are done? I'm really curious to see how this turns out as it is exactly what I was planning on doing!

Awesome...good luck on the install. I need to take off my bumper to better align stuff and to install the foam bumper insert I forgot about when I did the initial install. :) I might add some brackets too..

And before you go on you first test run, make sure you bring tools with you! One of the connections blew (the one right after the TB) on my first run (less than 1/4 mile from my house) and the car died..I barely managed to limp it home after if stalled out like 12 times..the fix took 5 minutes, but I didn't bring my tools or flashlight with me.

Done with the install after 8hrs haha. overall it looks awesome. it definitely was a PITA to do. everything is so tight and some many tweaks needed to be made but the core is straight and i made it home on a 8-10 mile drive without a problem. We didnt make any brackets (we were beat). The bumper beam and skin are by far the most timing consuming part. We had go back at least 5-6 times on each one making cuts.

I made brackets off of where the headlights sit on. Ill try to take a picture of them. My core is stright but i cut a little (alot) to much of my bumper on the driver side so it appears that its not:mad: It drives me crazy. Ill try to get thoes pictures up in a little bit.

There is already a hole when the headlight sits on I'm pretty sure so i didn't even have to drill there. Then All i did was get i think its a 2inch long bolt. You need 4 washers and 3 nuts for each bolt. I did it with 3 washers because i didn't put one underneath the head of the bolt. But it wont hurt to add one there. Anyways Put the bolt through Take your 1st washer and nut and tighten it down. Then i bought just 2 steel plates from home depot. You can see that they already have holes in them. But i made my own holes to mate up to the holes on the core. Then drilled a tiny hole for the 2inch long bolt. Once you got it all matched up put the 2nd nut and washer on the 2 inch long bolt. Put the plate there. Then put the 3rd nut and washer under the plate on the 2 inch bolt and then there ya go. Got some brackets for about 10 dollars and a little bit of time to get it where you want it. Imo its easy to get the core stright but if your bumper is not cut perfect it will make it appear to be off. I rushed mine and F***ed up the left side. But now that its nice out im gonna put a plate underneath there bondo it up and paint it black or something. Anyways enough of me explaining here are the pictures.
