tingtang
yeah the k&n always looked like a tight fit with the filter so close to the piping that why i went with aem hope to save some room with the filter being more down into the bumper but that also means closer to water :/ Im 18.5 pounds too gettin down to mid/high 11's by redline now is that just because the turbo dies at that much psi?? cuz mine pulls 14.5 all the way to redline... im also at 5600ft above sea level.... kevkel33leg05
Yea the vf-40 cant hold much boost up top. But the vf39/43/48/52 pull all the way to 7K. I have read about vf-40 holding high boost up top protuned but im pretty sure that was with an ebcs.

Spec B
Im 18.5 pounds too gettin down to mid/high 11's by redline. For some reason I cannot get mine down below 12.5 in the cold weather..I reduced the target boost and lowered my WGDC but it just stays about 12.5..it is boost creep I think...not harmful though. snow05gtRI
dont be too concerned with the water issue and the AEM unless you ford rivers on a regular basis. damn, this thread makes me want to go FMIC. I guess since this costs less than an aftermarket TMIC, I might as well go this route if my TMIC blows up...only to figure out a solution for the foglight thing... can one of you with the foglights not covered take a picture focusing on the fitment around the fogs? I just wanna see how bad the piping gets into the housing, and cant completely tell from the pics i have seen. thanks.

kevkel33leg05
I will try to get some pics of my 2.5i fog lamp covers, they really cleaned that look up. Can we see thoes pix infamous???
Spec B
I gotta remove my bumper and line things up better, the IC sits level, but the piping is not correct by where the fog laps were. It looks like I have to shift everything towards the drivers side. The pipe on the passnger side almost sticks out of the foglamp opening, there would be no way for me to install the foglight covers. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=65073&d=1237381835
Kupkake
so, couldn't you mount it upside down, and have the piping on the upper-half of the bumper, you would have to do more Fab to the piping, Also the bumper beem. hmmm...

TD06-20g-7cm Target boost is 20psi tapering to 19.5 at redline. Holds the boost silky smooth all the way, all while hitting full boost at just 3300rpms! kevkel33leg05
HAHA! Yea either way I was going to have to redrill holes because the original ones made the plate hang low and blocking some of the front mount. So I finally pulled the trigger and drilled them on the left side.
