Clutchmasters chatter like a bitch. Buy South Bend or Exedy. Some have had luck with ACT.

It was smooth as buddah for the 106 miles I ran it... Time will tell.

Working on the cubby pod, need to make the other cut out and decide if I like it raw aluminum or if I should paint it black.

I have an email in to AEM to get another black bezel. Wish the gauge faces matched a little better, but oh well.
Still nothing... but at least I got the cubby back in the car.

Short block assembly project relocated to my basement, hopefully I can make some progress this week.

Hope you've got a way to get the completed engine out of the basement...

Like a friend that's not crippled? You can move a shortblock by yourself, I'm sure two guys are fully capable of moving a long block.

How? I wouldn't want to move it any way other than on a hoist -- There's nowhere to lift without placing undue pressure on the freshly-bolted-down heads.

Pick it up from the shortblock--that's pretty much what supports the whole shebang when it's in the car, yes?

I just don't think it's a big deal to move a motor around. Pack it up and ship it and they're fine, bolt it in a car and drive around and it's fine, why would a gentle trip up the stairs cause issue?

If lifting from the heads causes future engine issues, you were going to have issues to start with anyway.

I plan to man up and carry the b*tch out of there.

But seriously, the shortblock is no problem. Haven't decided if I'll install the heads in the basement, but even if I did I don't see an issue getting it out.
