It looks like a nice car for 30K. However, I read a review where they expect the G8 GXP to be almost 40K. That seems like a lot more money for only 40 hp, doesn't it? And the GXP is the only way to get the 6MT, so that is a bummer. Now if they offered a MT sport wagon for around 30K, I'd jump on that instantly and drive my OBXT off a cliff to get the insurance money. For driving pleasure, AWD can't compete with RWD V8 exhorbitance IMHO.

I agree, but the auto is still a 6 speed(still doesnt compare to gms manual 6 speeds) but its something. Also im against wagons lol but thats just me. They may release a 6 speed manual G8 GT in a year or 2

I've turned alot of wrenches on teh GM Gen III and Gen IV engines, it is one nasty little powerplant and makes ridiculous power with next to mods. I love the G8, it is a great all around car but I do love having AWD again. Watch out for the G8 GXP next year, should be in the 12's out of the box. You can also bet after the intial run of GXP's you'll be able to get the M6 in the regular sedan, the wagon and the mini-ute.

Couldn't find it listed on there. So, what's the diff between the 08 and 09 G8? I see new colors are already coming for 09 for it.

Supposedly, the new blue in 2009 is close to the shade of WR Blue.

.

This is rumored to be the new Stryker Blue color for 2009:

Order a set of 17" wheels with 235/55-17 stud-able winter tires, such as WinterForce M+S. That's a pretty meaty tire, which should be good on broken up roads during the winter. 129.25mm of sidewall, compared to the 96.75mm of sidewall you have on a Legacy GT.
