  1. What happened to the 3.0R. I thought you were out of the modding game
  2. Wow This looks awesome. Now powder coat the wheels matte black, smoke the tails (optional, kinda digging the red), and tint the windows. Then go win some car shows!
  3. The car will be bmw and the sizes would be around 255/40/19 front and 285/35/19 rear
  4. I am probably getting some Michellin Pilot Sport Plus for the next beast A few qs: -How deep was the snow and how bad was the ice? -What is the average amount of miles you get out of them? -Do you think they would be pretty good in the snow with a RWD car as well?
  5. Thats why you don't date the average chick I need to start hanging out with this crew.....sounds like good times! Come down to Va (Tysons area) and I will def. chill.
  6. My car is will be for sale on ebay so. If anybody from this area wants a test drive let me know. <----Done Thread Jacking
  7. You will not find a 2005 Legacy GT in as good a condition and low miles as mine. The car is only slightly modified. I am running cobb's least aggressive map and the car rarely see's over 3000 rpm because of the boost threshold. I have all maintenance records cleanly organized in a binder Tell your friend to look at my new pictures and I am sure he will change his mind. Pictures by dstarler - Photobucket <----DOne thread jacking, anyone else interested please pm me
  8. $15k is my asking price but I will accept all reasonable offers. $14.5 would take the car now Car is being professionally detailed as we speak, and ready for test drives this afternoon. Link to for sale ad: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123250
  9. Anybody know someone who might want to buy a clean 2005 subaru legacy gt?
  10. For cost savings sake, I might just go the A/S route for the next two years. The Michelin's Pilot Sports seem to get great reviews. Where have you found the best price(s) for this tire? Anybody else have any great experience with an A/S that has not been mentioned. I have been spoiled with summer tire performance for the past two years
  11. ^That is impressive. Where is the best place to buy them? Are the sidewalls stiffer than the goodyears or about the same?
  12. Yeah I realize that a good summer tire will not last too long. I just wish I could get two years full years out of tires. I guess the saying of, I can't have my cake and eat it holds true. I have been soon used to summer performance it is almost hard to go back to an A/S tire. I have been buying tires slightly used and I have realized that it really does not make any sense. Sure initially it cost less, but once I factor in the time and cost of mounting and balancing them it is not really worth it, because the rate in which I replace tires is much higher than if I started with a brand new tire with full tread. I have always loved the BFG KDW tread pattern and they have a tread wear of 300, so that is nice as well. Although, I know that you cannot compare treadwears across different brands I bet they would last at least 20k with no track miles. I liked my Goodyear asymmetrics but they got noisey as hell once they started wearing. I had passengers ask if my diffs were going bad. It was a terrible hum. I guess if I really wanted to be cost effective I could just get a longer lasting A/S tire like the Bridgestone Re960's. People rave about them on here. I just do not know if I want to beat my Prodrives up on mountain roads during the winter......
  13. I actually drove my Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics in the snow as well, and honestly they weren't much worse than the RE92's haha. Do you think the Discount Tire lifetime free replacement is worth it? Do you only get one replacement tire? Wouldn't that be a problem if the tread depth was significantly different than the other three tires assuming the blow out happened after 2 years of purchase? What is the best long lasting summer tire? I have been eating through summer tires. probably 14-15k from Toyo T1r's (9k from the previous owner). I think I may have gotten 13-14k out of my Goodyear Asymms. I am also debating whether it may be worth just sticking some nice all-season tires on my 18 Prodrive GC05F's that will last me awhile. I just don't know if it is worth damaging them but I figure they could use a refinish by next summer anyways. At least there are some nice all-seasons to choose from: Bridgestone Re960's, Goodyear F1 Allseason, BfGoodrich Super Sport A/S. Decisions, Decisions.
  14. holy tq. Isn't the TQ figure usually wrong because the way 5eats dyno though. What do stock STi's dyno there for reference. 13 whp for a tmic is pretty impressive especially at such a modest psi. I am assuming you may have had more power across the powerband as well. Any reason why he wouldn't bump it up to ~18.5 psi
  15. wait Socal how is your fmic going to fit in that 3.0r bumper? Cutting it up I assume?
  16. ^God Speed over there. I have one friend from the Marines over in Iraq right now. My other friend in the Army did two deployments in Iraq as well.
  17. I see all of these dyno sheets of 350whp+ LGT's on here, but no one as broken into the 11's yet?
  18. ^Did a little ninja editing on the last page for more details
  19. Wheels are on and they look gorgeous. Two are pristine, One has a very small nick, and the fourth has a little more scratches then I will like but overall I would rate them Good for used wheel condition. To my knowledge these wheels are indefinitely discontinued since Prodrives future is still questionable. Pics to come late next week after a quick wash Some issues as I got some work done today at Ptuning which may now be the only place I go to get things done: -I was not able to jack up my ride height w/o taking the coil over off because my back left KW seized up So, I am about 1.5 finger from tire to fender in front and 1 finger in the back. -My back left control arm bushing is going bad -My rear toe bolts are completely rusted which means I was only able to get a front alignment. Aside from that amazing setup
  20. A teaser of whats going on tomorrow http://filebox.vt.edu/users/starler/Car%20Parts/IMG_0992.JPG
