  1. That looks great. But what's wrong with the electronics being exposed? There should be no elements behind the screen, right?
  2. Hi there - I saw your car pc install. Sahweet! I have a few questions as I'm debating going this route.

    - I have absolutely NO computer knowledge; would this be a bad idea to have it professionally done for me? Maintenance needed on the pc?

    - You started with the stock nav bezel and modified it from there, right?

    - Where is your pc mounted?

    - How is it running now?

    - Recommend any good fabricators for the nav bezel?

    Thanks!

  3. How do you like your Brembos? I've about had it with the pulsating from my stock discs.
  4. The QSM looks so good clean, but looks so good dirty as well.
  5. Wow. Is AWD needed in Jamaica? My wife and I went there for a trip but it looked like people were able to get around on literally all types of vehicles. I know a few hurricanes and whatnot come through. Or maybe you just like Subaru? Help!
  6. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/CarPortalâ„¢/KOS-L432 Would this screen work?
  7. http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=903#3077 Here it is! See, in my mind, I'm thinking a shop could get one, modify the bezel to fit the Kenwood screen, then sell a packet of brackets, etc. needed to attach everything securely to the Legacy dash - done. No touching the center stack. Edit: This is the only reason I haven't run out and purchased a simple Parrot unit for Bluetooth. Here's "hoping" Highline will jump on this...
  8. I think you'd (Highline) score some major dough if you just offered a nav bezel w/o buttons. My opinon. Then we could all tap that Kenwood system with the new screen and replace our old nav units.
  9. I'm about to pull the trigger on just a Parrot install to get Bluetooth. But this is a sweet setup and if a company could sell LHD modified nav bezels, they could make a killing. Makes no sense to me to have a nav/radio in the bezel in addition to the stock radio in the console - not a clean install in my opinion.
  10. *Rubs hands together* Anyone else interested in this? My only concern is that, since my job requires travel, I may need to take the plunge and get my own Parrot setup and skip messing with the nav and nav bezel.
  11. I've seen the pics you speak of - yes, it was a modified nav bezel to eliminate the row of hard buttons and therefore allow for a larger screen. If Highline mass-produced these, I'd be a happy camper. Otherwise, may just go a simple route of installing a Parrot unit and have an extra button somewhere on the dash/console.
  12. That's what I told them a long time ago but it sounded as if there wasn't enough of a need. Come on guys...rally! Let's get a nav bezel w/o buttons so we can install a screen!!!
  13. sdvictor - I think I'm going to go your route and get the CK3000 - you did a slick setup. However, it's hard to tell where you mounted the mic - is it up around the rearview mirror? Any tidbits of info for the install process that I need to pass on to the professional installer (other than don't scratch the console)??? I will also be getting the adapter connections that you can purchase so no wires are cut.
  14. If the price was right, I'd like to have an upgraded nav bezel and eliminate the integrated buttons, therefore allowing use of the new Kenwood system for integrated Bluetooth and iPod. However, if it's too expensive, it may just be worth the route to get a Parrot, drill a hole through the console for wiring and be done.
  15. Oh...good thought. I think I may have found my Bluetooth module! Finally! As it seems the 09's don't have any hands free devices installed.
  16. Wait a minute - am I missing something? What is your Bluetooth switch connected to? Shouldn't there be a receiver mounted somewhere on the dash?
  17. Woo hoo! Another H6! Congrats, and welcome to the party!
  18. Rich - please also consider my previous request. For those of us who already have navi, perhaps you can rig up a new nav bezel to accommodate the replacement screens offered through Kenwood, that way we can gain access to more features (get rid of the push buttons on the nav currently).
  19. I never tried it without the added deflector - had it installed upon purchase. Oh well - maybe it was okay without it???
  20. I have always had a car with a sunroof, and even with the built in deflector raised with the roof open, I still get that "whumping" sound at freeway speeds - don't like it. Now, I can have just the sunroof open at 70mph, get fresh air and still converse with passengers easily.
  21. So you can do something like this? Perhaps see if there is anyone else interested? All I would need is the bezel and I can go to my own shop and have them install everything there. Apparently Kenwood came out with a unit that will work with stock equipment, but I'll need to replace the screen in order to access some of the features such as Bluetooth, as opposed to having to use a remote.
  22. Highline - would love if you could fabricate a new navi bezel w/o buttons, to allow for conversion to a new touch screen. I know there is JDM one but I've heard it doesn't fit properly in US models.
