  1. #1) What tire are you offering for review (size, model, type (summer, A/s, winter, race, etc), price paid, miles driven on tires, etc): 225/45/17 Summer Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 \ $110 each(and 80 dollar rebate) \ 10k miles #2) What is your geographic location: Upstate Ny (Albany) #3) What types of driving events if any (Track, AutoX, Commute , etc): Commute/Spirited Driving #4) Percent of highway vs. city driving: 40/50 #5) Tires used previously: Re92, Kumho Asx, Bridgestone re050a, dunlop wintersport m3, continental DWS, general exclaim UHP's, toyo proxies 4, hankook ventus v4 #6) Your review and personal comments (Dry, wet, and snow, if applicable. Also, please compare to other tires used): Bought these in the beginning of the summer. The first thing I noticed is that they are not as sticky as the re050a's. They are noticeably softer on the side walls so they allow flexing. Once you get the feel for these tires is when they really shine. They give up grip predictably(if that makes sense). What I mean by this is while taking long sweeping turns you can literally drift the car around the corner. This is not a tire that makes you feel like you are riding on rails. So if your looking for one of those look else where. On heavy downpours which we have had a few of were handled very well. No hydroplaning(60-70mph) which is very good in my book. Would I buy these again? Maybe, if I just wanted a fun/economic tire to roll around in. If I wanted a true performance tire I would prob look else where(re070's or ventus r-s3's). I gotta say though I might just get the continental dws for all season use again since I also feel their grip was on par to these summers and still were able to handle snow.
  2. Updated your post, didn't link profiles cause I am at work and the boss wouldn't like me doing that all day Also made it sticky. Thx again to you and tori for the effort!
  3. Wow I am still amazed after all this time you have kept on this. I love your setup, and wish you so much luck on this one man. I know most people consider it bunk but have you tried a grounding kit? Or a DIY grounding kit? Have you kept any or all of the stock grounds?
  4. Jeff... wtf where have you been? Yeah i know me a mod, it must have been for my lack of painted stock calipers.... I am glad to see your still alive man!
  5. Its threads like this that make me glad to be a part of this community! That is an impressive job you did there!
  6. Fyi, I also have this seat squeak on my spec b. I have never had this issue with my previous 05 and 06 lgts'. So this is a new problem to me at least. I have had this issue since about 29k miles which is approx the moment i went stage 2. I have taken the seat off from its rails and adjusted them with no success. I am going to try to remove the seat frame this summer and try putting some neoprene rubber or something to see if it solves the issue. If not...anyone know if sparco road/tuner seats fit in our lgt's?
  7. Arc, did you have any rock chips and scratches before the vinyl? If so do they show up after you applied the film? This is a project I am planning to undertake after the winter so I could stop seeing my rock chips. Also I love matte black your car looks sick.
  8. You mean i can't keep the engine cover?! I sent you a pm!

  13. in for results! I have been contemplating doing the same thing for the last 4 months!
  14. Well I was speaking to another member shainz he was actually going to check the 08 sti hubs too, since i think he said the knuckles look the same. I guess we will just have to wait.
  15. definitely subscribing to this! I would love to have a 5x114 hub setup even just for the rear axles, but mostly for cheap rotors, wheels.
  16. Welcome welcome... enjoy the site
  17. thats right... i am your first friend
  18. SPT is a fantastic cbe, i think its a bit overpriced new though. The sound is quite deep and not obnoxiously loud. They should sound the same through either year just depending on what else they have installed. The spt also mates fine to both stock and after market dp's.
  19. I definitely need to post up sound clips of my setup Invidia catted dp Perrin Mid and y Avo Type 2 mufflers. At the moment the only clip i have is this one http://videos.streetfire.net/video/06-legacy-gt-stage-2_680367.htm The ones in the video you posted are the avo type 1's. They sound about the same but the type 2's i believe have a deeper note. BTW quiet mufflers won't drone as bad since they are quiet, the avo's i can't hear on the highway if i have my radio at 7. The lachute replica's i had i could hear them even at 13-14 on my radio which got really kinda annoying since i travel to nyc which is a 2-3 hour trip depending on traffic. I can only imagine how the perrin's sound like on a long trip! In my opinion the avo's are the way to go, however if i wanted a loud exhaust i would hands down say the autospeeds sound the best.
  20. Sweet finally spotted someone on this site, i however have yet to be spotted!
