Hi I am new to the Subaru world and I'm looking for some advice. I've looked around on here and have not found a clear answer on dual exhaust if it's able to be purchased or it has to be customized. Also I've noticed that some of the part numbers 4 a cold air intake here are four earlier models if anybody can point me in the right direction that would be great thank you for your help

Use the search function. That being said:

Unless you have the 3.6R, no direct fit dual exhaust. Requires some fabrication.

Takeda 4303P is a direct fit intake- http://afepower.com/afe-power-tr-4303p-takeda-stage-2-pro-dry-s-cold-air-intake-system

SSD Performance has a direct fit intake- http://ssdsubaru.blogspot.com/

You have to go custom. I had a y-pipe welded and hangers installed on the right side. That and 2 MagnaFlow cost me 600 from a local shophttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161130/21223a4d6fb2fc73c8595de539712d34.jpg

... (May fit 2.5i as well) ...

Thanks for pioneering this mod, and double thanks for documenting it so well.

For a 2.5 installation, which uses the G2 CVT and a discrete heat exchanger, the cooler itself will be the same but the hard pipe and hoses will be different due to the different heat exchanger arrangements.

Any pictures of the setup underneath the car? How does it sound? Part numbers of mufflers & tips used?

It's still pretty quiet. They are two street series MagnaFlow. Tips are built into it so no need to buy a set of tips. It has a low resonance but nothing over the top. I can hear the engine more than the exhaust. Again I did it for the looks. If you want a good sound muffler delete is the way to go but that gets annoying fast

Just a note

I installed the new 4inch single wall nameless axlebacks after installing the midpipe from a 3.6r,

I dont know if it was just mine, but one of the axlebacks were longer than the other so one side was poking out more. The shop I went to tried to fix it but there was no way to make it even with the other side unless modifying the nameless exhaust. Might end up doing that since I cant send them back since it was already installed during the process.

You got an OEM mid pipe from 3.6r from Subaru? How much did it cost ya?
