I think I'm going to wait until Mike send me my AP v3, then I'll pop off the fuel lines, turn the key on and let it pump the old crap out the new stuff in the tank and then put it all back on and see how it goes. But I'm pretty sure that noise has nothing to do with the fuel unfortunately

Dude, you're dealing with 2 year old fuel. Fuel starts breaking down within 4 months. Take that fuel and put it in a lawn mower and see what happens.

Did you get any CELs after start up?

I know old had is bad, but I still don't think it's causing the noise. Sounds mechanical.

How long do the AVCS take to get full oil pressure ususlly

No cels

And I do have a code, by there wasn't a CEL.

So I suppose I need to look into my pcv

Do you have the original pcv set up still? There is an electrical connector where the pcv connects to the inlet; it is a gray plug.

If you removed the gray plug you must take the metal clip from the plug and insert it in the connector. Without the clip in the connector the car will have that code.

I did pull it off and put it back on.

I'll check out the plug tomorrow though, thanks!

UPDATE!

Ran some old fashioned sound diagnostics(I listened, and used my previous experiences).

narrowed it to the PS pump, or ALT. Pretty sure its the alternator though.

going to throw the belt back on and then use a socket extension to see if im right...im hoping bearings are ok and that i jsut had the belt too tight.

1st clip, control, no change

2nd clip, A/C on, no change

3rd clip, no PS/ALT belt, sound is gone.

Yay for easy diagnosis! Maybe your belt was just too tight? Not gonna lie though, sounds like bad bearings to me... or one of the brushes cracked and is chunking around against the commutator on the alt.

Can you run the engine with out the belt on the Alt ?

Of course. I did in that vid actually.

The belt is sitting on the intake.

Yes but it will use up the battery pretty quickly, since all electrical power is only coming from the battery.

This.

Only ran it for a little bit, & I did have the battery charger on it while I was running it.
