RooTBeeR's Cheapo Slow Poke "Build" Thread

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I will have to email them back when they send me the first base tune.

I just got a base tune for current parts.

Forgot to mention that I want the flex fuel kit when I go to get my finished tune.

And today I silicon sprayed and installed my invidia down pipe.

Trimmed the OEM heatshield to fit over it.

Okay, so I fail at updating this. But ran into some issues installing all the parts. Should have checked fitment before I even started swapping them. Screwed myself over for the time being.

That being said, here's some of the details.

There was some confusion on my part when I purchase the TGV deletes apparently saying that they were made to convert from side feed to top feed, but I didn't understand that they were modeled after the top feed TGVs.

So when I ordered my injector dynamics top feed injector, fuel line, and fuel rail kit, it wouldn't match up with my TGV deletes. But it WordPerfect in a stock tv from my old side feed set up.

Jenny, apparently, the Flex Fuel kid wasn't exactly design for 05 - 07 legacies. So the fitment was a bit off. But they are designing a kit specific for these years now. And they said they would send me the parts when they got it all finished.

Luckily, I made it all work regardless for the time being.

Will hit up my buddy to see what I need.

So, no work tomorrow. Fuel rails show up tomorrow, second set of injectors show up Thursday. So I might have this thing all settled except for the tune this weekend.

So, if anyone wants a set of side feed to top feed conversion fuel rails and id1000 injectors, I will have some up for sale soon! They have had fuel pressure rises in them, but haven't actually run in the car yet

Got the proper fuel rails for my tgv deletes.

They look like really nice pieces.

All that stuff has to come back out again?

Sent from my iFail using Tapatalk App

I'm going to try to rock the manifold, one side at a time, and see if I can just slip the old tgv/Injectors/fuel rails out and slip the new ones in, and then put my fuel lines back on.

Might just have enough space/hose wiggle room to do it.

If not, yes, all coming back out again.

...gotta pay to play

Got the Injectors and Correct flex fuel module today (finally).

Still need my tune updated though...

Took me long enough, but it's nice having parts that are all meant to bolt up together finally.

Can't wait to see what it's going to produce.

Honestly, it should just be pretty much be stage 2 numbers. Its not like I did a cam, ported heads, big turbo and such.

You should be slightly above stage 2 with what you're doing. Are you going on the dyno to see results? I would like to see.

Yes, definitely. 91 and e85.

Stock numbers (@ ip&t first dyno day) were(custom Y-pipe and mufflers) 190awhp-199awtq.

So I resent emails this afternoon that I had sent last Friday morning, finally got a response and got my tune updated. Already loaded it on the car, trying to install the TGV deletes fuel rails and injectors now, again.

On e85 I I should, he's on 92octane. But he also has a tmic and intake.

I'm all stock on that stuff

But we both have upgraded vf40 turbos and automatic transmissions.
