Would also like to point out insurance is higher for the Bmw.

Along with the tendency for someone to key your shit.

I feel like the end of this trailer is appropriate for the situation on hand.

3 series costs 0$ more. I am paying 0$ more for insurance, same coverage.

This is a gem of a thread.

I drove the 2010 328xi before I got my G. Nice car, slow though, and comparably equipped still cost $1500 more than my G and the lease deals were just stupid...like $80-90 a month more with no wiggle room from several dealers.

I got a different car with nav and different color. The other one was a boring silver one.

That, by your own admission was a much better car to drive? Maybe you have a different set of priorities than the vast majority of this forum, but it sounds like several posters have hit the nail on the head on a number of occasions. Congratulations on your new purse .

You know some of you starting to sound like bunch of female teenagers wining.

To your question. No Logic 7. Just HiFi. If I knew about Logic 7 at the time, I would probably looked for it. I heard its worth every penny.

*Oh by the way. I don't care about the stupid comments here.

If you had 2 cars to choose. Both for free parked next to each other. Would you get 2012 Legacy GT or 2012 BMW "328 xDrive" ?

i would take the 05 lgt that is a block away. come back and push the 2012 bmw into a ditch for good measure. oh and then maybe key it too.

then leave a note on the 2012 lgt saying nice car man!

Now that's thinking out of the boxer!

fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader

What if I'm gay and I like purses?

Then you bought the perfect car.

They had a white 335. I almost got it.

sure you did. you're just saying that now because that and the m3 are the only 3series cars we've said were worth owning. so WHY didn't you get it? please share, I'd love to hear your reasoning on this...

I just recently bought a E36 325IS. it is a nice and solid ride. If I wanted to mod it, I can always put M3 cams, Header back exhaust and Chip it to get more from it but I'm trying to sell it.

The reason I bought mine was because it was so cheap. If I had the chance to do it again, I would try and source an E36 M3 instead. The newer M's are a pain to keep.

That's a whole diff story. You have much better value in that vehicle due to it's age.

Thanks, believe it or not but I did not buy it for status symbol. I just like the way the car looks compared to how the newer ones look. I also like how the E30 M's look. I forgot which motors they are putting in them but I think it is either a V10 or the V12. you should be able to see some videos on YT.

E30 M3 is the best M ever.

I know it's sacrilegious, but I would do a double motor swap. Hear me out.

Take that S14 out of the M3, and put it in a 71-73 BMW 2002. Then do an LS2 conversion into the M3.

F the purists. I have been in BMW's since I was just out of diapers and before Yuppies & status seekers still thought their Chysler Cordoba's were the shit.

THis...

I'd do exactly the same. Probably use the LS3 E-Rod though.

That's a fair point.

I wish I had pics of all the 2002's my father had. IIRC he had:

  • 1972 Daytona Orange 2002
  • 1972 Inka Orange Tii
  • 1973 Navy Blue Tii
  • 1971 Lime Yellow 2002
  • 1976 Brown 2002 (evenutally transplanted with the 72's Tii motor after that car was totalled)
