bmx, u should spend less $$$ moding your car, invest in new technology, like electric supercharged motor. I'm still waiting for a car with turbine engine from stock

Then travel back in time.

Let's be realistic. They are Subarus that in some instances are rebadged as Toyotas. Subaru did all the engineering work, and there is some debate as to which company came up with the idea in the first place (Toyota insists that they did; Subaru says Toyota didn't sign on until they saw how awesome the concept was).

who doesn't want one with a turbo... if they can afford one... lol

All the people who say the car isn't about being "fast".

Which is good, because that means there will be less demand when the cool version comes out.

I understand what wrong?

The people who don't want one with a turbo, are the ones in this and the other threads, who say "fast" isn't the point of the car. They want the slow version.

I left this thread for awhile, not sure if anybody said they don't want a turbo in these cars, I know I do ;)

but I like this "slow" version also (in case they never come up with a turbo), and 200HP in a RWD coupe is faster than my 271HP family sedan

I'm talking about $$$ vs performance, if I have $50k to throw out of the window, do you think I even bother with this BRZ? ;)

GM did it between 22k for the2.4L DI N\A base & 32K for 2.0L DI turbo top model. 2 door convertible or coupe. I paid only 26,999 for my 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. Under 3,000lbs. 260hp\260ft.bls. 0-60 low 5 sec. 1\4 mile high 13's. Balance 51% front, 49% rear.

Real world time lips here;

http://www.kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php/topic,932.0.html

Take about $1000.00 to $1500 for a tune & chassis brace. You get a car that's 0-60 in the mid 4sec., 1\4 mile high 12's low 13's. and handle like is on rails.

You don't need 50k.

But you are on-board for a same-weight and much slower Subaru?

It will be a great car, but it will still be slow.

You are the one who called a Solstice, a vehicle of nearly identical weight and significantly more power than the BRZ, "fat and slow".

GXP? Lol, enjoy your car engineered from leftover parts. I testdrove a few last summer. Interior rattles/squeaks were louder than the engine, lol. And interior is a complete junk. Steering feel was almost non-existent to me. Stock suspension is marginal. It could be made quick in a straight line, but it is not fun to drive. Ten times out of ten I'd choose a used s2k over this.

after I test drove a mustang, which was always #1 rating and it didn't suit my taste... I know I'm being ignorant

Yes you are. No different the most car magazines. At least you recognize it.

It sold over in Europe under the Opel GT name plate.
