lgtftw
Oh, snap yes, I ordered my megans minutes after my last post on this thread, havent seen it since.
Sleepr56
A mod should merge the new developments from the latest H&R Spring thread into this as well. 08+ WRX suspension working (using Legacy top hats in the front) 08+ STi suspension in theory should work (using Legacy top hats in the front & modifying the front struts mounting location as seen done by the 09+ Fozzy owners)
GTEASER
Does anyone know if 5th gen top hats are the same size and bolt pattern as the 4th gen? I came across a used set of megans for an '05 lgt for a super deal. Spring rates listed in Megans website for the rear are a little different and so are the overall length and stroke of the shocks, but only by 10mm. But other than that, valving and all the other dimensions and specs are the same. Just no info on top hats/camber plate interchangeability to help me verify direct bolt in. UPDATE: Okay, called Megan. The upper camber plate (top hats, not the pillow ball) are different, but I can get the ones for the 5th Gens from Megan for $110 bucks for both. That would put me at $300, for used, but in very good condition Megans. What a deal!! May need to change the rear springs out, to get the correct rates, but that shouldn't be too expensive either. Hanger
Anyone running the R-Rev front strut bar? It's $65+shipping now on Ebay. I want a front tower bar but refuse to spend $180+ for a legit one. I've always ran ebay tower bar in the past, this should be good enough right? ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○
blklgt05
I was one of the victims of megan racing's coilovers on my 4gen, lasted about 7-8 months which was pretty damn good. Then everything started to fall apart... mod journal

Neither bar is going to do much, might as well go with the cheaper one if you're dead set on buying it.
Hanger
I'm not dead set on buying it, my butt dyno told me that it helped a bit on my 4th gen ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○

blklgt05
blklgt05, can you elaborate on "fall apart"? All 4 corners started making noises, one of the 4 was especially loud and clunks, 2 units started to leak...etc. Just research 4gen for these common issues on the MRs, there's a ton of threads about it and complaints resulting in the member that was selling it to leave the LGT.com forum completely. Personally I wouldn't spend a dime on something that's just gonna cause headache later, I rather save up and get something that will last. mod journal

blklgt05
Technically it should help if you have a really stiff suspension and you track your car hardcore, but other than that its not exactly the best bang for the buck type of mod. I do have strut bars on my mod list, but its right at the bottom. mod journal
Hanger
so far it's like the cheapest mod on my list, but since you put it that way, I've scratched it off ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○
GTEASER
^^Save your money and get the next cheapest thing on your list sooner than you would have if you had bought the strut bar. Hanger
Going to be ordering BC Racing Coils w/ swift spring. What's the default spring rate that comes with it and what's recommended? Also debating if I should get the WL Roll center kit now or later, and that WL rear camber adjustment bushing ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○
s2baru
You may want to look at the fortune 500s with swifts same price a lil softer for rates cuz you can order them to your specs
Hanger
Is BRZ/FRS coilover compatible with 5th gen? I always liked my Tein Flex on my 4th gen, and Tein had released one for BRZ/FRS and none for BM/BR chasis ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○

SpidermanMTL
I know all about the 4th gen Megans.. but after rolling the 5th gen variation for about 15-20000kms (got the set for 250$)... I can't complain... I had them on my 2.5i for about 20k kms and not a single problem on mine... well one but minor... The top plate where you would adjust camber everytime my alignment guy tried to set it, the screw would slide, stripping the top and not staying where it should stay... fixed it with a locking washer..
