  1. So has a fuel line issue that isn't taking care and you think that's not concerning for potential buyer? Something like that wouldn't let leave the dealership or sent to auction

  3. Reading through some recent posts I guess I should fix my passenger windshield squirter. I'll try a needle first to see if clogged. Always the little things pins us off the most, just like those clamps
  4. "Said" dealer you made a trade in to? Always unfortunate when a shop misdiagnosis a problem and goes overboard. Guess that's where the money is made though. Enjoy the new sante fe! Hyundai and Kia have been making some very nice cars for the price and tech involved. I know several people who went that route over an outback who aren't as outdoorsy
  5. I follow more pnw stuff since I'm in idaho, I do still know quite a few people down in Utah and some in Colorado. Can't say I've come across meeting any of you, although I had my 5thgen with orange wheels are the very first RMSF event nearly 10yrs back.

  7. There's a few that are those specs I listed. Right now the Firehawk500 in 225/55 Or bfg comp2...I ran those before and didn't mind them in my 5thgen.
  8. Wheels are sparcos pro Corsa 17x.7.5 +48 I believe is the offset
  9. Tire shopping decisions OEM Crosstrek wheels have 225/60 OEM outback wheels have 225/55 Sparcos have 215/55 with trash snow tires needing replaced ..... However I've come across some 235/50 sooooo the question is what size to run on them????
  10. Oh ya it does drive quite nice. Nicer than my bronco I used to have. New wheels and tires for it will change alot. Might jump to 35s over the 33s. Only drove it 15miles to the DMV and back. Figuring out insurance policys for it before seeing much more highway. Don't need to rush anything especially with winter
  11. Well sold the saleen a few months back and went on the hunt for something old-school. Had a 72 f100 4x4 short bed 4spd in highschool and a 78 full sized 4spd bronco about 12yrs back. Values had skyrocketed so it took me awhile to get ahold of something nice and close by that I could check out It's a 73 with 78/79 changed front. 351 engine, could be 400 but uncertain. Edlebrock heads and carb. Helper bags in the back. Killer stereo. All undercoated and good repaint. Couldn't be more thrilled about it. Probably ad a few little things to the interior and maybe do a freewheeling livery on it. We'll see.
  12. I'll have some sparcos on it come summer. Still need to decide on a good performance summer tire that's good on the highway for longevity
  13. Well last month I flew to Sacramento to drive my new to me obxt 5spd. Has various suspension goodies and is the perfect wagon for me finally. Couple things within the past week. First oil change since getting the car home last month. Oil still looked good but did it anyways. Used a Valvoline subbrand I can't remember what it was, I'll post again once I find out. Car seems to like it and is running quieter. Also installed a grimmspeed intake and flashed on the tune for it from Snail performance. Knowing the guys at my local place I had him do a few logs and said he felt good about it and we left everything as is. The intake sounds are awesome now that's for sure. Also scored some 15wrx+ axle backs. My back bumper is already melted from the stromung that was on it before. I chose not to buy it with it since was pretty rough looking. So we'll see what modifications need down for these to tuck back there. Last item I picked up this evening were a set of 225/55 Blizzaks on some OEM wheels for a really great. So I figured what the heck, let's get em.

  15. Fwiw your suspension setup is nearly identical to mine however I'm on coilovers. One thing that may help you with the steering "feel" is a lockdown dampener that was mentioned above. Under 65$ bucks and worth to. Also how about your alignment in general? Depending on your driving style maybe you have to ad a little more camber like around -2 and then the larger sway bar really does help I believe. Especially more noticable at speed. I wouldn't really ad toe up front but maybe a little in the rear. Normally I've always ran 0 toe on every Subaru though
  16. The debate I'm having now is do I go for a mildly aggressive all terrain type tire or a slightly more performance all season on those new sparcos. Continental DWS seem to be up there or the BFG trail terrain, toyo Celsius, nitto nomad grappler. Miles are mostly highway so idk if I should go that route because they're probably heavier too.
  17. The first red ss I had with the snow in the background had 2in strut spacers and then oversized snow tires. I could bomb into a barrow put with 4+ft of snow and then pop back up on the road like it was no big deal. You see all the social media posts of wrxs/STIs pulling out trucks when in reality they're just getting them some momentum and then they're fine. I had pulled a f350 that went of the the road. A newer f150 was hooked up to it and was having a hard time. I keep kinetic ropes in my cars so used that and got both guys out in just a few minutes. The guy with the f350 laughed when I stopped in 2+ft of snow thinking I was going to be stuck with them. I then drove around to pack down some snow and had them out fairly quick. I think the only time I got that car stuck was when it turtled and became high centered
  18. I'm a firm believe in snow tires of any kind in general because of the softer compounds and siping. I've ran the Michelin iceX, Bridgestone Blizzaks, and Hankook Icept, and Uniroyal tiger paw. Sounds silly but the last 2 are the cheapest and have performed the best for me. The Hankooks do really really well in the slushy wet mucky stuff. The tirepaws I ran with studs so naturally they performed better on ice. The Blizzaks we're the most quiet and did best in turning input and feel. Lastly the Michelins we're just kinda mehhh. Imo they didn't have much bite to them and wore the fastest.
  19. Great tire! These have some used toyo snow tires.. Not sure if I'll keep them on
