Just curious Johann, but what's your estimate of potential power that this setup could produce, and what are you planning on running it at (sorry if you already answered this)?

Its in there because its the finally exhaust setup for the car . I plan on doing my EZ30 swap this winter so to make this work all I have to do its remove the Y-pipe and connect them to the headers. Extra weight yes. But I opted to do it now because its all weight added to the bottom of the car adding to my COG balance. My Legacy is a Tank, I could remove all the weight i could but it will still weight twice as much the cars I am competing against in the class I am in. So instead of futilely trying to make my car as light as I can sacrificing daily drive-ability I remove as much weight I can at the top and add a bit to the bottom to drop my COG as much as I can. My wheelbase is long and wide, perfect and planted so my cornering will up there with the best of them.

This setup should make around 325whp but it will be tuned for fastest spool possible. I am told by my tuner that I should be able to make 21psi on my VF39 by 3200-3300 rpms. Its pretty much the exact same setup I had before as far as power curve but instead of 260whp I will have considerably more. I opted to do this setup because Auto Xing isn't the only thing I will be doing this year. I'll be getting my racing license, so I can do a couple time attacks, and some club days.

I'll be in the shop tonight and tomorrow hopefully finishing up the car. Finished pics on Monday !!!???.... lol

It is but because of the way the rods are you can't run forced induction on them. Normally a rod is strait but the EZ36 rods are cantered over or "bent" so they can get a longer stroke. As you know a bent rod isn't going to be able to take much boost. Also I already have one sitting in a project car I bought so it was the much cheaper option for me to go that route. True, 3.6 is way better then 3.0 but not when you slap a couple Eaton M62 Superchargers after you drop compression. :)

This was the new EZ36 rod which was asymetrical in order to not hit the case with the longer stroke. The first time I looked at it, It was kind of a mind f***

It doesn't allow for a "longer" stroke, as that is dictated by the crank.

It allows you to maintain the same stroke for a lower deck height.

Or to increase your stroke length with a fixed deck height.

BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM.

From what I hear the Blocks of the 3.6 and the 3.0 are almost identical. There is only a slight bore diameter difference. The larger crank diameter give the 3.6 a longer stroke and the bent rods allow the crank to have that longer stroke without hitting the sides of the block.

Ether way, bent rods = no boost.

So I got some work done in the shop but a wedding took most of my Sat. Got all the Water, Oil, Fuel, P/S Lines routed and finished Started altering the Wiring Harness but I need to finish the Fuse Box Locating and get power to my ECU so I can can find the Idle Control Signal Wire. Mounted the Rad, P/S and Coolant Overflow for good. Finished with the underside except for the exhaust tips which I will finish tonight.

So for pics currently all I have is come pics of my hosing. Used a medially of Subaru lines I found around so would look more factory.

Finished Intake:

Hello all. So I took the day off. Got up at 7:00am and worked non-stop till 2:00am the next day haha. Got a ton of work done and I think I am pretty much set to turn her over a little later tonight.

Started by finishing up the Oil Breather lines:

So I could run my Velocity Stack but still have good ventilation of my oil vapor I got this cool little fitting from Vibrant performance that pulls up to 3psi or vac into the exhaust. It had an AN fitting on it but I welded a piece of pipe so I could use a standard hose clamp on it.

Next was to finish the exhaust. Got the tips all aligned and installed and I am not sure if I like these more then the quad tips. Its a different look so I will know more when I get it outside.

Next I took off all the loom off my old wiring harness and go the pigtails I needed for the Injectors, TPS, and ISC. Extending a few spots and cut down a few others so it would fit correctly so I took some closeups of all the hosing and wiring. I did some good work on the Celaru but this is the best to date. (Note the Headlight wire have even been hidden)

Made a custom little rad shroud to mount the upper portion of my radiator.

And finally some pics of the car as it was left this morning haha:

So thankfully not much is left and I should be able to get her all buttoned up tonight.

Phil just sent me a new map that should be good enough to get me to Maxwell so as long as Dom has a slot for me before the event I should be g2g.

If not I have a contingent and I can run my GF's new car. :)

Got her all done but the map I have won't start my car. Its funny originally when I got my old setup I was sent what I thought were wrx cam gears so they have a 32pt crank trigger on a 2pt cam trigger as opposed to the Legacy's stock setup which is 7pt and 7pt. I was given a 7pt cam gear and had a 32pt crank trigger so my timing was way off. Now I for sure have all wrx stuff and it still won't start. I spend 3 weeks of hard work doing all this crap and I leave on thing up to the skills of another person and.... Sorry rant over I hope I can get a new map or something by tonight or my chances of making it to my tuning apt are over....
