Giro Disc
For sale? What the car? No, not for at least 8 months or unless someone give me 15k for it. Johann @ Girodisc

thestratomaster
damn. If I had 15k I would probably actually spend it on this car. it's just so damn sexy
Giro Disc
Yeah I have to think long and hard for 15k still. I truly love this car and I would only sell it to fund the other car I have with the EZ30R in it. If the Lego gets the EZ30R in it then I will drive it into the ground, buy another one, and swap everything into it to drive it into the ground again. Okay update time! So I took the day off work yesterday to get the Engine longblock assembled. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew12.jpg Here's the new color I went with over the green. Kinda like a dark silver. I'm going to do the strut bar ends, camber plates, turbo comp housing, and intercooler pipes (after they are wrinkle coated.) http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew13.jpg Here she is about 90% finished. Pretty snazzy lookin I think. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew14.jpg For the Fuel Lines I am going to tuck them so this is where I mounted the Reg (Just above the Heater Lines) http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew15.jpg And Lastly I got the Cars Brake Hard Lines finished up. Totally Invisable. Bias Block Mounted under the Starter: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew16.jpg Front Right Line running tight under tranny tunnel: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew17.jpg Lines running to the Rear of the car. Tucked up high and above the Tranny X Member: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew18.jpg Line running under the Rear frame rail: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew19.jpg Also I got my new tires on my wheels so once I get the rotors back on I can set the suspension for the slightly bigger tires if I need to. So this weekend I'll have the Tranny, Motor, Brakes back in. I'll be painted a couple things so I can install stuff in for good. I have to pull my dash so I can install my custom gauge pod so I can get my Boost, Oil Press, and Volts Gauges in. More to Come... Giro Disc
Yeah so my fancy intake manifold cant go on the car... It relocates the throttle body to be in the center of the surge tank for better air distribution into the runners but it it raises the throttle body about an inch to high and it contacts the hood. So i am going to use the manifold I had on my old wagon. Its a stock WRX mani but its had all the mount tabs and casting marks smoothed away and its port matched to the TGVs. It will make the same power but I wanted the fancy polished one... Other minor issues I had to trouble shoot was making a new intercooler pipe for the turbo side because the old one went through a hole in side of the engine bay that it no longer there. I re-made the pipe using 2" all the way to the intercooler and cut about a foot of pipe over the old design so it should help the bigger turbo spool a bit quicker. The intercooler I have runs 2.5" on the outlet so I am going to run a bit more of that over the previous setup before I flare to 2.75" to match the throttle body. I am hoping I can cut another 6"-1' out of that pipe. Running this 2.2L hybrid block will give me more power overall but it drops the compression over a WRX block a bit so lag is my enemy. Anyways I got A LOT done over the weekend I am very pleased. I finished the assy on the engine minus the wiring harness. Cleaned up the tranny and repainted the exposed part. Finished runing all the brake lines. Installed my SS lines and got the Rear Calipers/ Rotors Re-Installed Installed the Tranny and Engine Got the Header, Up-pipe, Turbo Installed Finished running all the new Oil/ Water Lines for the Turbo Made new Hot Pipe for intercooler Pre-Installed GC8 Radiator Installed Oil Catch Can Installed the Muffler Portion of my exhaust For now all I have pics of is my engine bay as it sits now. I'll have more pics of the Brake Lines, Exhaust, and Radiator Mounts Later this week. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew20.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew21.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew22.jpg Johann @ Girodisc

OutbackXT05
Amazing job. It really is something to see a bone stock car go through all that work to be where it is now. This is inspiring.
Giro Disc
So I worked kinda late last night because I got burned out and got the Turbo, Up-pipe, Down-Pipe, and Wastegate installed for good. Also I got my new coolant tank for the turbo from Canton Racing. Fits perfect on the new cover panel my helper made. Also got my fancy intake manifold back on and it looks like its going to fit. I also got the Lower Mounts for the Radiator finished so my helper can make the custom rad shroud to mount the top as soon I can I install the fans so it can go in for good but I need to fab the cold side intercooler pipe to make sure it will fit without rubbing on anything. Lots of work is going down this weekend I am hoping that the Lego will be only a couple parts away from getting off the lift so I can roll it forward to finish up the wiring. Okay Pic time. Here's the new Coolant Tank installed: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew23.jpg And how the engine bay sits as of last night. I have the stock heat shield set in there but I think I am going to make a custom one that fits a little tighter. Maybe I can mode this one to drop down a bit more. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew24.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew25.jpg Johann @ Girodisc

Giro Disc
Hey, made some progress but had some set backs... Started by finishing up the suspension and get everything squared away. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew26.jpg I think it looks a lot better in black ya? Next I started on the exhaust. I managed to get all the resonators in and the exhaust to run side by side in the Stock exhaust path. Its very tight up in the car I am very pleased with it. However about 70% done welding it up I ran out of gas so it would have to wait till Monday.... Here's what I have so far. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew27.jpg So without gas fab work was out of the question. So I kept myself busy getting some of the more tedious things. Got the Clutch and Brakes Bled, fitted the tires. Dropped my engine cross-member down 1/2" to gain some room in my engine bay and to lower my COG a bit. So at the end of the weekend I got the car back down on its own weight and tinkered with the suspension to get my new tires back in check. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew28.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew29.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew30.jpg I'll have pics of the exhaust, fuse box, , intercooler pipes, front end back on with the new diffuser etc.. this week. Car need to be finshed Sunday if I am going to have any chance of getting her tuned, corner balanced, and the tires worn in by the first even to wish me luck... joeblow
I think that I like it even more than the Toybaru. Very nice. Agreed. I think its mostly because we'll get to see it finished and know that it will be used for races and tracking. The Celaru will probably be a parking lot queen, if it gets finished past Johann's part. It's cool; I'm with the band
Giro Disc
Hey all. Got some work done in the shop last night. Got more welding gas so I finished the exhaust except for the exhaust tips. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew31.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew32.jpg Also got the Drivers side intercooler pipe finished so now I just need to grind them down and paint them. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew33.jpg And finally I just got in my new intake design just waiting for a couple more pieces. Here's a Teaser. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/LegoNew34.jpg Well that's all I got for now. Johann @ Girodisc
