I think my biggest gripe about the 5th gen over the 4th gen is the lack of frameless windows. In the event of a chemical or biological attack, after you finish sealing off all the other potential entrances to the cabin you have to use more duct tape on the 5th gen by sealing both the window itself as well as the door frame, whereas on the 4th gen you're just one and done. Completely unacceptable.

LOL!!!!

You know, if you were so concerned about NBC hazards, any form of consumer vehicle is clearly not for you.

Clearly , this is the vehicle for you.

Wow Adoniram, your full of ****t.

Photos are from 2010 LA auto show. good try.

Wow Icewolf, you're a douche.

If you click on the link, it clearly states 2012 model. I don't know how accurate that site is, but they have accurate info for every other model posted.

*Edit* Here's another source confirming the presence of the 2012 Legacy model at the 2010 LA Auto Show

It's the same sheetmetal as the Outback...

Fortunately (or unfortunately for us) it is not the same sheet metal at all. JDM (and ROW I believe) all kept slimmer profiles on their wheel arches. Open that pic and a new 2010 US OB and look at them both. Totally different. :)

Yes, but they also say that this is a '12 Impreza

One crappy car blog quoting another doesn't make their info right, and there is no way Subaru would have showed '12 models back in 2010 (LA is in the Fall)

These are '11s, no worries

'20 Legacy XT Touring

13 Subarus and counting: http://jmaigroup.com/subarus/

Well, lame. I want a GT wagon. :(

That is no 2012...no way. I'm sure you hit up one of the reliable places like Motor Trend or Car and Driver...you'll see that image as the original source.

And people wonder why I watermark nearly every single one of MY pictures. It's a source confirmation too.

I heard that they are introducing a fifth gen GT wagon for the US in 2012! Woo! Can anyone else back me up on this?
Where is your source...MT and CaD reported otherwise.

two strikes against lever-actuated parking brakes, only one against electric motor-actuated parking brakes :)
Actually....on strike for a rare and new set-up versus the old way which probably makes up 90% of the market. Weighted for actual models and number of vehicles on the road...I think two stikes for traditional versus on strike for ebrake is

Advantage: traditional hand brake.

spy shots of the 2012 Impreza. Nothing really that new, likely posted on NASIOC or other threads on LGT already....but relevant here only because I see Fuji Industries is certainly going in the WRONG direction. Oh god!

Ditto,

I guess I'm not the only one who likes that. I won't say loves it but it 10X's better then a outback or the sedan.

Are the wheel arches really softer or is it the color and angle ?

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

I actually might like it slightly better than the 4th gen wagon. The 5th gen sedan is much worse than the 4th gen sedan, IMO, because of the shape of the rear. But the wagon taillights have grown on me, and my major complaint about the 5th gen Outback is now the SUV ground clearance and plastic cladding. And the headlights look more modern to me than the 4th gen ones.

Not a fan. Even the TSX with it's weird beak looks better than that. While the previous generation Outback looked like a raised sport wagon, the new Legacy wagon looks like a lowered CUV. However, I suppose it looks a little better than the Jetta sportwagen which is the only wagon in the US left in it's price range.

Month bump?!?!?!?! :iam:

I used up all my internet points with the member "The B4" awhile ago during the launch of the 2010 Legacy. Oops. :hide: However, if anyone wants to ask him about the 2012 LGT you should as he has many connections, but he won't come in here since I started this thread. Sad panda. :(
