Hyundai N models has entered the chat room. Subaru STi has left the chat room.

I gotta say Kia/Hyundai have been impressive. Their range is definitely beating out Subaru and the tech feels way ahead of Subarus. Gone are the days when people use to shy away as soon as someone mentioned a Korean car. They are making some gorgeous cars and also pretty good performance. The other day I saw their baja model and that thing looked so sweet!

220 range is somewhat pretty weak especially when they promoting off roading. When you go to remote areas the charging stations will be farther out.

Cheaper to put bunch of plastic around the car than putting painted panels. They gotta cut costs somewhere…

The Solterra has 8.3 inches of ground clearance. The Solterra is powered by a 71.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack and two electric motors, producing 215 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque. Damn that’s a slow EV lol!

The rear bumper is a shelf.

7th Generation Opinion
IcEWoLF replied to phuzaxeman's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
The legacy xt is straight up ugly. My dad bought the Outback onyx Xt and it looks 100x better. The designers dropped the ball, especially the rear end, it looks so damn bland...even Toyota’s these days look way more aggressive and sporty looking than Subaru. It seems like the roles have been reversed. -
I like the front of the car...looks like a Porsche on some angles. Other than that not adding turbo is annoying. The interior tech quality seems to be cheap too. Since switching to Bmw (m340i owner) I will probably never look at another Subaru until maybe the next gen wrx sti if they make close to 400hp.

Subaru apple car play is absolute trash and their tech team should be sued for the crappy job they did with the implementation. I had a 2018 legacy and they replaced the whole unit and didn’t fix ****. I have a bmw now and it’s wireless CarPlay and it’s flawless and no random cut outs! Subaru needs to fire their whole navigation tech development and q/a department.

I like the new interior. Quality has definitely improved. I enjoy the ride on my old mans subaru 2020 xt. CVT has improved since the 2010 Subaru Legacy I had.
-
The Bluetooth is a nightmare for me too, they replaced the head unit and still the same issue, only way I can stream music is by attaching the cable to my head unit. Apple is probably to blame here too. The squeaky seats, rattles everywhere kinda started getting to me lol.

Btw here are some of the pics:

I will be leasing the bimmer, maybe I’ll buy the 2022 or 2023 model.

Rattle in Dash / Lower storage area
IcEWoLF replied to andrelaplume's topic in Legacy Photos (2015+)
Been dealing with rattling issues with my 5th gen and now the 6th gen..: Subaru sux with creaks and rattles. One of the reason I am dumping them for bmw... -
Giving my 2018 Legacy 3.6r to my old man. Going to switch to the dark side with a 2020 BMW M340ix (xdrive) I’ll still lurk

I took my car last week to the dealership, the car rattle noise is consistent and it’s coming from the passenger side, I can’t pin point where, to me it seems it might be from the passenger side door. The dealership things the noise might be from the eyesight unit but I am not positive. Also it seems like there is some rattle coming from the cup holder area underneath. Over the past month my car head unit keeps skipping when streaming music, it has the latest update and music keeps skipping and it breaks up, the dealership said they will need to get a new unit. I am disappointed in Subaru, their built quality is absolute sad when it comes to interior styling, especially when buying the top trim. Hopefully they figure things out.

So...how did it go? -
Wait another year or two. Avoid year one of any models.

Part of me wants to like the new gen, but my other part says Subaru could have done much better with the redesign. I guess they are keeping subtle to try not to steal sales from Toyota/Lexus
