  1. Omg not a photoshopped pic: https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2014/12/south-dakota-yanks-dont-jerk-drive-campaign.html
  2. ^^ OK I thought this was some kind of weird fruit smuggling thing, but here's the real story: https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2021/10/04/squirrel-walnuts-pickup-truck-Bill-Fischer-Fargo-North-Dakota/1391633367678/ Squirrels are nuts.
  3. Man that's awesome. Competition is good and that's a very thorough course. I hope to see that advance as rapidly as possible in the near future. Robotics is a much hard field than I think most people realize, but these guys are knocking the dynamic piece out of the park: [ame= ] [/ame]
  4. Satellite TV and AC! It's like a redneck tiny home paradise (if the towing vehicle was a truck)
  5. I live at the foothills of pikes peak. They’re putting a new visitors center at the top right now. The road to the top (or the cog railway) is really a great experience for people visiting the city so I’m glad you did it. The hike is brutal. I’ve done a few 14ers (as we call them here) but Pikes Peak was by far the longest and hardest one of them.
  6. Annnnd it’s NA... keeping the tradition of underpowered sports cars alive for MY22. The Miata, BRZ, 86, and more are all otherwise outstanding vehicles and super fun. They all just need another 50+ ponies. Well, at least that’s the case for high elevations. I’m at 6500 ft and if a vehicle doesn’t have forced induction, it takes 250-300 HP (depending on weight etc) to make a car begin to feel sporty.
  7. Announcement coming in just under 7 days: https://www.subaru.com/2022-brz Presumably the 86 will likewise receive the same update. Rumors suggest the same 2.4L engine from the Ascent, but either detuned to make less power, or de-turbo’d to avoid cutting into Supra sales. I can imagine a $30-35k 255 HP RWD coupe being VERY popular, which is good for consumers, but maybe bad for companies that want to justify their $70k sports car as well.
  8. Translation of bottom panel: "The Leader in real life" "and those born after 1990" ... in other words, millennials suck.
  9. That is brilliant. Prop 65 is a perfect example of the idiocy of California's monstrous bureaucracy.
  10. It's a good thing there's no such thing as GPS, RF geolocation, bluetooth contact-tracing, or an overwhelming database of purchase history, internet history, or anything like that! All you need is a mask! (and maybe an antifa ascot?)
  11. “We did not match our ambition with the capabilities of the engine. As a result, the motor has suffered catastrophic failure and needs to be replaced. I need a Honda B-series motor, preferably a B16, but we are open to a B18 or even H-series swap as long as it has VTEC (yo). I am prepared to purchase such a motor on the morrow.”
  12. Tosh.0 had a good commentary on that: http://www.cc.com/video-clips/ko8a87/tosh-0-video-breakdown---spool
  13. Oh yeah I forgot about that part Whatever happens, I’m sure many people won’t let facts or reality change their opinions
