N.sane
I had an hard time installing the front Sb ! Nothing complicated really, i wasn't totally aware of a couple of thing so it took me a lot of time to remove the old one lol So , i did install both sway bar + the front coilovers . Tomorrow , rear coilovers and im done. Sent you PM with the torque specs. What rear sway bar are you using now?

N.sane
I just didnt wanna go off topic too much; I sent him torque specs for the coilover install. But if you insist... The 3 little nuts that hold the front top mounts in place do not need a lot of tightening, only 14.5 ft-lb. The studs are VERY easy to snap (I'd snapped them twice), so once it's snug, leave it. I'd suggest using the smallest ratchet you have and tightening it with your pinky and ring finger lol. Conversely, the 2 bigass nuts/bolts on the bottom of the front strut are tightened to a whopping 112.1 ft-lb. Rear top mount nuts are tightened to 22.4 ft-lb, and the bottom one is tightened to 46 ft-lb. Specs are taken straight from the Subaru service manual. Manchito
So , i had a weird noise when hitting a pothole .... was thinking it was related to my coilovers since i installed them at the same time as my SB , but ..... im a ******* noob .... the strange noise was in fact a endlink not tighted enough . Everything is fine now . Im really happy with the setup !

Matga
WOW! Quite an investment you have there! Thanks for the list! I just got parts from AVO. Cab bushings, solid front links and front LCA bushings...Gotta start from the base. All original bushings need replacement. No point to add other parts before the base is solid. I will be starting installation tomorrow. Hope it will go smoothly as i am kind of a newbie at car mechanics. Pretty excited though :-)

The modding has been ongoing for the last 4 years I like the way you think; replacing worn items first. You should see a considerable improvement in the car's stability with the control arm bushings installed. Let me know if you need/want the Subaru service manual since I have it in PDF. Matga
Manchito, i like to do things myself also, the first fun part is to understand indeed, the second is to see results! :-) N.sane, The service manual would be great! Thanks!

N.sane
I'm going to be using the Whiteline end links I have right now. It should work for the Tribeca bar as well since it's listed for both the front of the Legacy and the rear of the Forester.

pipi135
would i have any problems if i only upgraded to this bar up front and kept the oem rear OB bar?? my front bar has been clunking for over a year and its really starting to get to me haha
N.sane
There wont really be a problem, you may just increase understeer if you're driving at the limit. I highly doubt your clunking problem is related to the bar itself though.
Matga
http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=128918&stc=1&d=1347845812 Picture of the goodies i have installed. getting both control arms off and back on was a bit tedious, but the bushing part was a headache. Finally went to a shop and paid 60$ to get original bushings off and the new LCA on. The ride is firmer than with the soft original soft bushings, at low speeds, the feeling of small bumps is enhanced, at highway speeds, feels much more solid. Rode about 150 miles today, very pleased with the results. I need a wheel alignment but would rather make a few more changes before I spend the money. Any suggestions for the rear bushings, cant seem to find much on AVO's site??
