    • $400 (I really hate stocker, I'll pay dearly to ditch it)
      57
    • $300 (I hate stocker, I'll pay well to eliminate it)
      63
    • $200 (I don't like stocker, but I am not paying more than $100 per stupid ACC knob!)
      138
    • $100 (I am on a budget, dang!)
      40
    • Don't care, I'd go with cleansweep anyway.

    • No thanks, stock stereo is fine.

you would have much better luck just hacking this kit up a bit and removing the pocket

I saw a guy that used the metra kit which is the same i guess as the one on crutchfield and i really didnt like it. HERE IS THE LINK http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53450

Now, there was another guy that make a custom one for his LGT before any of this started and it looked super nice! the only thing is that he had to fill in a sand it and paint it and sand it........... but it looked really good! i wish that i could send my stuff to him to have him do that! My car would be a lot easier than his LGT!http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48531

See how much cleaner the 2nd guy's is? They are both good but i would rather have something that looked more professional....that is why i want to get the avo kit.....but do you guys think that it would be possible to do that? Tax return is coming so $$$ isnt a problem as long as i like it, it will be worth the $$$$!

You do know that the second guy's project was uber labor intensive and would run someone big bucks to pay to have it done because of the electronic work involved.

The difference in appearence is the result of a mass produced plastic part vs hand crafted bondo/fiberglass and paint match. You could easily start with the Metra piece, modify it to a double din opening, and then have the entire thing dye matched for a perfect texture and color finish for a reasonable fee.

With the AVO piece, you're already starting out with high material costs, you'll make a cut that will require a professional to properly conceal anyways. Its your project, but I'd start with the Metra as a base if I was working on a 2.5i project.

ignore him, he'll go away.

Can you at least give us a time frame? I don't think that will loan any info about what you're doing to any competitors. That's all we're hoping for I think.

IMO a time frame is exactly the type of info Jon should keep to himself.

If he says 2 weeks, and it's not done in 2 weeks, he'll hear us bitch about the fact it wasn't done.

Of course if he says he doesn't want to give any info... he'll hear us bitch about the fact he's not giving any info
