  1. I think the stock lights are pretty crap. Low beams anyway. I'm not sure what or why it is, but I just never felt like I could see the road well. Since I put in the HIDs it's like a brand new car. Night visibility isn't just good, it's outstanding. High beams are next to useless.
  2. There's been so much theory that I don't know what the "official" stance is, but it's often commented that the Y-pipe is a bigger restriction then the stock mufflers. Although I'm sure it's possible to free up a few ponies, I doubt you could ever get as much as an aftermarket CBE no matter how many washers you stack on.
  3. Except that the color of the flash has nothing to do with the reflectors. Two separate things.
  4. I like stock too. Gives a very mild orange color without the overbearing reflectors.
  5. I think it's already been mentioned a number of times in this thread it's not really recommended on the n/a version for "sounds like crap" reasons.
  6. Just got this again MUCH worse that I had before yesterday. Going around a fairly tight right hand turn, floored it after the apex and it really did sound like something smacking against the underneath of the car. In the past all I had heard was a mild growl, noticeable, but not bad. This time it sounded like I was ripping my car apart Tried again on a similar left hand turn, nothing.
  7. That sounds about right trabbic. This certainly isn't something that affects just people who are lowered (I'm not) nor does stage anything really matter. Just reading all of thread will tell you that much. But people who are lowered seem to experience it more. I typically just hear it under hard acceleration in 1st, especially when turning. It's probably only in this situation where the squat is bad enough to cause it.
  8. Same here. When I installed to stage one (still am) I was like, oooh, that sounds cool. So much better then stock! Now I'm like... I can barely hear it. I need to get my ass under my car again and throw some more washers at it
  9. Space wise I don't know... I decided to spend the $20 and just buy ramps. Too difficult? Not really I did have to use my leg (kick the wrench) on one of the bolts because it was on pretty tight, but overall it wasn't too tough.
  10. Winter gas? I've gone down about 2 MPG so far. On my accord I went down about 4 MPG on winter gas.
  11. I certainly don't know, and being in an area with no emissions testing, I have no reason to know... but I can't imagine why it would. Mufflers do very little, if anything, to reduce emissions. They are as the name implies, for muffling sound. The only way I'd venture to guess this would cause a failure is if post-cat "exhaust leaks" are a failing offense... assuming they even notice.
  12. Cool, keep us updated. Still hearing mine, this time from the left side the other day.
  13. Hmmm, interesting. I wonder though, aside from the fact there's a weird noise, is there actually a problem? My car's out of warranty now, so that kinda sucks. But it would still be good to know.
  14. Still only happens for me on hard, 1st gear acceleration. Sure sounds a lot like the rear-inside tire to me (on stock suspension / rubber)
  15. Yes, you are absolutely supposed to use premium!
  16. Premium recommended for 2.5i
  17. I typically calculate every fillup, which is roughly 350 miles. I've seen the trip computer be within .5 MPG and as far off as >1.5 MPG. Interesting though that yours was so accurate over a long distance. My trip A is reset every fillup, trip B I set when I got the car. So I've got about 6000 miles on trip B so far, and it's reading mid 24s. Wonder how accurate that is?
  18. I think mods throw what you'd expect out the window. With some mods that decrease MPG (stage 1) and others that increase it (stage 2+) and a good mix of stock and even maybe 2.5i owners, you get a pretty random mixing of stuff. Also, some of us put in our real MPG vs the requested trip computer readout, once again throwing it off.
  19. Shouldn't drone. W/ my stage 1 after the car is warmed up I can barely hear the exhaust at all at highway speeds. I can still hear it at low speeds / low RPM, which is just awesome IMO. I hate drone, but want to hear the exhaust when I'm accelerating. Best of both worlds!
