Little update...

Got the satin white ceramic coated manifold back on with fresh gaskets.

After sealing the intake cams we filled it with oil and hand cranked it until the oil system was primed, took approx 125 revolutions.

Just about ready, up-pipe and turbo about to be placed onto the long block.

Back in it's home.

Oh Yes!

All suspension and brake components are checked off the list. Fluids Bled and ready for alignment.

Downpipe is done with the satin white ceramic coat, once that and the accessories are in place it will be fired.

255s, when at ride height they fill the arches perfectly, will need a tiny bit of camber and a mild fender rolling.

Accessories mounted, this phase of this car's life is 95% complete...

http://www.vlmspec.com/assets/images/2005lgt/sm-8734.jpg

Time to slap in the radiator, I straightened those fins that where damaged in shipping. Turns out we got sent a radiator and Cusco cooling plate for the wrong car. It was a little too JDM but the the decision was made to modify everything to fit, one off ftw!

98% complete

98.5% Working on a base tune tonight and running it tomorrow after running the remaining Vac and PCV lines. The car will be broken in tomorrow also.

Only thing I would have changed is that POS inlet. Gimmick next to Cosworth makes me want to vomit.

Ya I kept all the intake and exhaust stuff for now so i could spend the money I had on other more important stuff but this is just the first chapter. Going to do a 6 speed swap with r180 diff come this winter after I save some more ;)

I think it looks kinda cool and it seems to be functional. The owner is def going for more blue but I was staring at it last night and its like a big artery, feeding the heart of the setup which in my world is the turbo.

mattg is speaking from experience installing and using that piece. When I started looking at aftermarket silicone inlets - he said "I wouldn't wish that POS on my enemies"

I believe the install was less than favorable. Nothing wrong with color selection or that it's aftermarket - it's a specific hate towards that Gimmick bit. Black or blue would be more subtle and tie in and I'd go with Samco or AVO personally.
