stuck686
how much would a 6speed swap run?
thisisthenewsic
Mine cost me about 4500$ out of pocket. Got about 2k back from all my old parts. Total up front cost about 6500$ but I didn't cheap out on anything. It can be put together for cheaper. But at least about 5-5500$

No cross member but you either need a auto driveshaft or custom. Also axles are almost impossible to find used, new is really the only way. Also if switching to spec b axles add the r180 rear diff. I'll post my excel spreadsheet tonite if I remember.

thisisthenewsic
forgot to add, the dccd pro controller which is 545$ so thats another expense. the trans can be driven without it no problem.
hobo2701
damn.. between that and a rotated turbo setup its proly gonna cost me around $10k for the next round of improvements. but seems worth it if im gonna go for more power. would hate to be left stranded with a blown tranny. boxkita
do the tranny before anything else. It's an expensive replacement. Build my car Boxkita Track days
thisisthenewsic
yes^^ i did my 6 speed first, and now im building my motor. both pricey but atleast you know the parts have no miles/low miles. my car has 143k on it. replaced the trans with a 6 speed that has 24k on it. rear diff 24k everything else new. and when i rebuild my motor everything will be brand new and fresh. pricey but its like having a "brand new" car LOL just alot faster than off the assembly line
