oil pickup tube

let me know when you do this I will upgrade as well. I'm only a couple hours from you and I go to boston quite a bit as it is. Maybe we can tackle it together, unless you do it at your shop

no it isn't. because every modded subaru seems to end up with a spun bearing or no compression.

Be careful what you say there...I've only been at stage 2 for 15 months now and 280whp for 4 of them. That car has been at Cobb AP stage 1 since 8000 miles Dec 04.

I guess I'm about do...

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

OEM oil puck ups tubes are prone to failure. Seen more than a few. We really like the KillerB pick up, tray and pan (if you can afford the pan).

Be nice to your Tactrix.

Yes, Shamar provides a base map prior to logging. You can always set up the tune prior to install and have the base map in hand on install day.

I have a wagon at my shop now that has been running a FP Green set up for years. Over 120k on the odometer. I know a few local LGT's with 120k+ and stage 3 set ups on stock internals. Yes they give up the ghost, but many make it a long time too.

this car is getting run into the ground. I'll do my homework on rebuilds but im not expecting one for another 75k miles if I'm keeping it at stage 2....

so I went to put the stock airbox back in and it turned into a project.

I was having the same issue as before with the heat shield for the injectors.

here is the pic with the AVO intake and the bend in the line from the larger banjo positioning.

If you want to put on the stock box with the oil supply line kit, you need to either remove the bracket, or cut off the part that surrounds the larger banjo. Otherwise it's nearly impossible to put the line in.

You could probably modify the heat shield to make it fit, but I didn't have the time or tools to do that so I just cut it off.

(above). That's just about the perfect angle for the banjo so you can get the line around the intake tube properly.

I have ECUFlash 1.42 installed. The program looks pretty straightforward. I'm assuming that when I get my base map I "test write" first, and if that's successful, I write the ROM image to the ECU.

ThatI'm trying to install the latest version of Rom Raider and having some trouble. Everytime I try to load RomRaider I get this error message.

Java Virtual Machine Launcher

X Unable to access jarfile C:/Users/Computer/Desktop/RomRaider.jar

my backslashes dont work so I had to use forward slashes. I have windows vista on my garage laptop. I saw on a thread that you needed to right click and "run as administrators," I tried that but no luck. I had a lot of trouble installing it too so somethings not right.

Anyone give any tips for me here while I continue my search for an answer? What are these "definitions" that I keep reading about? Anything else I should know going forward with these 2 programs before I start logging and writing over the ECU? I have a pretty stable windows laptop so I'm not too worried about bricking it.

Thanks,
