Well I had an amazing time. The campsite, weather, cars, getting to meet all you great people and the generosity of everyone. Just an awesome experience all around, hard to put into words.

I’m sure more pics are coming, but here’s a little snapshot of our setting. Again, so thankful to have participated in this event.

Just rolled in back at home safe. Car was tits for the ride back too.

@JJBerk I got passed by a boat, er…. Ascent on the way home too. Those things can boogie when they’re not hauling a trailer. ;)

So glad I could make it, and too meet you all.

Well I had a great time meeting everyone and putting faces to names after all these years, at times it felt like I was in the company of giants. I'm too tired to caption each photo, but I will link this post to OP to make it easy to find. Thanks to everyone, near and far (Washington, Ontario, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Michigan, Virginia, W. Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania), who came to attend the event.  I can't take sole credit for this event as I just rode on the energy and enthusiasm everyone showed for making this happen.

For the people who weren't able to make it this year, @boxkita has already put together a 2024 planning thread so check that out. More pictures to come from @SubOperator!

Ask BoxKitty how that Ascent hauling the trailer boogied! ( when not stuck on the Baltimore beltway for a half hour)

Odo 8869 miles 14273km

trip mileage: 6100 miles 9817 km

average fuel economy: 30.8 mpg 13.1 km/L

beers/hour: rehab is in my future

With stats out of the way, I'm heading home.  Words can not express how much fun these past few days have been and the whole trip experience. Meeting the ppl behind the avatars, hearing their stories, seeing the results of posts on the "i can get the car off jackstands" thread, and all the rest. Y'all were the highlight of a trip full of epicness.

Ive managed to find a route that avoids I81 to Nashville. I'm doing an abbreviated version of the Natchez Trace Parkway and shortening the rest of the stops. As @KZJonny said, it'll be there for next year's trip, too.

Apologies for taking so long to make a comment on this amazing and wonderful time together.  First, I want to personally thank Eric (BoozeRS05) for his kindness in allowing my wife and I to spend the night in his second home on the way there and for leading the way directly to the campground.   We can't thank you enough.

When I refer to it as amazing, it's because I personally felt as though I had known all of you all my life and that in itself made the trip all worthwhile.  To know that I have friends that are all over the place, in all ages, and all walks of life is completely enriching and wonderful.  I also wanted to thank you for the absolute kindness and inclusion you showed to my wife.  She talked all the way home about how nice everyone was and she's NOT a car person...LOL.  Her comment on the way was "I have my book once I'm tired of hearing about cars" and that time never came.

It was my complete honor and pleasure to be in the company of all of you, to know your passion and ideas and love for not only the cars (those are of course what started it all), but to know that now it goes much deeper than just the cars as it's for the people involved and to see and enjoy away from the keyboard.  I've always considered the entire LGT community as without any shadow of a doubt to be the best group of people in a forum anywhere, bar none, but for the friends and this helps to cement that I was never incorrect in my thinking.

To all involved in making this happen, you have my complete gratitude.  From organizing the place to meet and making happen, to Mike's fabulous work on the shirts and stickers (plus the cool hat), and Jenny's work on the meals and cruises, I can assure you I will make sure I have more time to spend for the next one.

Thank you my friends. Please never hesitate to reach out via PM if I can help with anything or just to shoot the bull.  If you PM me, you'll have my mobile number and we can talk anytime.❤️👊😉👍❤️

I am bad with pix,  I took a few.  I know there are more to come.  Still recovering from the commuting, but it was well worth it.  Got to ride with @tysparks81 to and from lunch.  My first time in an LGT in over 6 years.  THANKS!!!!  Need to hook up with @BoozeRS05 so I can drop off the sills he forgot.  Somehow its just not a meet without getting grease on my hands, lol.  Don't have the words to express my gratitude to all.  Definitely a little bit of an ego boost and a humbling experience at the same time.  I came to this forum over 15 years ago to find others with the same love and passion for the cars as I.  Never could have imagined the journey that followed.  This forum and the people I met here literally changed my life.  LOVE YOU ALL!

This was an absolutely amazing trip!  Thanks to the whole ECM crew.  Good beer, lots of laughter, and even better company.  You are all welcome to come stay by me if you want to come for a visit north of the border, @m sprank I got you when you come out this way 😉.

The cruise down was epic thanks for driving down and back with me @KZJonny sorry for pushing you to speed a little too much, when we did slow down on the way back my fuel consumption went way down to 7.3L/100km and I still had just under a half tank when we parted ways which is crazy considering where we stopped to fill up.

It was soo good to put a username to a face and to spend time getting to know everyone that came out.  Such a great group of people, I wish you all weren't so nice though since my wife is now asking about where the next one will be.   My daughter will forget it all, but I will remember how you guys treated her like your own daughter, running around with her, playing catch and answering her silly questions/comments.

Our Sat. afternoon cruise was soo much fun, @SubOperator your son can drive and I suspect in a few years he will be faster than you.

For those I meet for the first time, and others that I had known for a while, you all made this a truly amazing experience and for that I can't thank you enough.

I don't mean for this to be seem like some sort of obligatory thanks to everyone, but I will reflect everything said already and wholeheartedly agree.

I'd also like to say there are a couple things that were awesome realizations for me.

Firstly, and most importantly that the people on here who are either the living legends of the Subaru LGT community or just the rest of us (😉), are all ultimately a bunch of people who want to put their feet up and drink beer at a fire and get to know one another. At the best of times, I am hesitant to bother anyone with so much as a question, and have almost never in my life asked anyone for help. I know I should, but it doesn't come easily to me. After this weekend, I know I can reach out here, or via text or phone and chat with someone, and do that. Say: "I don't know. I need help.".

A distant second is that while I'm a little sad that we only get to meet old friends for the first time once, we do get to meet the same new old friends again in future, and have that much more to look forward for next time. It was never important to me that there was a face to put to the name on here, but now that I do have some, even now, one day later, posting on here already feels so much more like communicating with all of you directly, as people. Hopefully in the coming years we can all meet some more new old friends like this.
