  1. Glad you are fine, hopefully you can find a nice replacement. We do have similar problems with our ego's since I reversed out of a parking spot into another car with my wife's truck. Only a little dent in the rear bumper which popped within a few minutes, only leaving a few scrapes in the paint & taillight. The other truck needs what looks like a new fender, headlight, bumper.
  2. I haven't even touched the list yet, outside of trying to put insurance back on the car.
  3. Although it isn't throwing any codes I would start with new spark plugs, which will allow you to check the coils as well. Replace any that have started to separate or rust. The fuel smell leads me to think might be a problem with the evap selenoid or with the fuel pump (good time to upgrade). I would say fill the tank and if it is slow to fill or you have trouble starting it is the evap. Have you tried going to a stage 1 or stage 2 cobb tune? The car should still run with those tunes. As well if there are any CEL deletes in the protune/etune they should pop up with the OTA tune fairly quickly. Hope that helps.
  4. Not here as much as before, but too much good info to stay away for long.
  5. Great job, considering it wasn't a direct swap.
  6. Sometimes it is the actual clock, sometimes it is you dash light dimming switch. Both easy enough to change, and they can be found for cheap at a wrecking yard or local part out.
  7. The "Tuned by STI" has a different rear backing plate and different calipers. They were made from 2004-2007, the 2008-2014 rear brembo's are different enough that you need a new adapter bracket to run them, as well as new ebrake shoes & rotors.
  8. I picked up a BNIB blackvue 770 for a very good price a few months ago from a guy on another forum. Came with a front & rear camera, he only opened it and decided he wanted something that was easier to install and integrated nicer into his new 2023 truck. Installation was very easy as I am running the power for it from the cigarette lighter in the wife's forester. But also came with a hardwire kit as well (Which I will probably use to hardwire the camera into the legacy, and just move the front camera to whichever vehicle we are driving, just means that I will need to pick up a second rear view camera so there is one in each vehicle). Installation really was a breeze and the front was installed in less than 15mins, I probably spent more time setting up the account and playing with the settings. Although it is a bit pricier than some alternatives out there, it will save video directly to an SDcard or can be downloaded to my phone through the app. Can also upload automatically when connected to wifi, and has a one touch button/sensor to start/stop recording while driving. I like that it has an intelligent parking mode that detects impacts & motion. Also that it has built in GPS & wifi which I'm hoping I can use to setup an extra layer of security on my car if it is ever stolen, towed or moved.
  9. There is a whole thread on this forum dedicated to swapping a subaru 6spd in to Legacy GT's, so very possible with if you get all of the correct parts. The 5x114 sti hub swap is possible with a lot of work. The front you can swap new 5x114 knuckle & hubs. But the rear is a big problem. The Legacy rear knuckle and trailing arms will not accept the 5x114 hubs as well you need to come up with a custom hybrid axle setup to work in the rear.
  10. Where did you get this from? Link please if you have it.
  11. I had it on my first legacy and I loved it, but the baffles in this one seem to be gone so I'm not entirely sure how they are going to sound on my car. But anything is better than the magnaflow I have on there now as they are just too raspy for me.
  12. Hey bud, I have a US PO box just over the boarder in Buffalo NY, if you want you can ship them there and either pick them up or I can grab them and drop them off in a few weeks when I make a trip up there.
  13. I am running an act 6puck, it is overkill for my current power level, but I like the feel of it and leaves me room to grow. I was looking at a Southbend clutch but the ACT was a much better deal at the time. I have a friend with a spec b and he is running an Xclutch and he has a very close to OEM feel to his clutch pedal
  14. How hard was it to wire up the link ecu? anything that is not working like OEM with the addition of link to the car?
  15. Are we placing bets on how many miles he gets out of this, I will say OP gets 4,999 before YNASB
  16. I think I want that q300. Will you be coming to the ECM? If you are would you be able to bring it with you to the meet for me?
  17. Hey I can come give you a hand with things just send me txt when you know your going to be working on things.
  18. I just went through the audio in my FXT, 4 pioneer 6 1/2" in all four doors, and a 10 in the trunk. Front & rear speakers are powered off of a kenwood excelon deck, and the 10 by a 600w amp. I'm going to find another amp for the front & rear speakers as well as replace the front speakers with a nice component set.
  19. I call dibs on a room with a queen the 3 of us can share a bed, $66/day is fine for us, just need to figure out exact days but leaning towards the 7th-11th. @KZJonny what days are you thinking about driving down and back up?
  20. Your killing me John, do I want a 400whp turbo on the forester.....hell yeah I do. But do I need a 400whp turbo on it , the wife would kill me, and then she would come looking for you, lol.
  21. I am waiting on a shipping quote from him for this intercooler , GS one will go into the Forester, and process west will go into the Legacy.
  22. Definitely understand that. You will be very happy with the end result, not sure you will be happy with what you pay to get this installed and running the way you want, lol. It is possible. I would say make sure to start with a manual Outback/Legacy GT if you can it will save you a lot of money, time and stress. You can use the STI drivetrain, but you will need hybrid axles for the rear or you can use the legacy GT front axles or STI front axles if they came out of a car that was 5x100. For the rear I would suggest using 07-09 spec b rear axles as they will be plug and play with your r180 rear diff, otherwise you will need to create a hybrid axle using the inner axle from the STI, and mate it with an outer Legacy GT. I did convert my 1st 5spd legacy GT into a 6spd legacy GT(from a specB so as plug and play as you can get if you have all the parts) and the increased mile/gallon was nice while I had it. It also is capable of handling more power if you go with a solid case 6spd as opposed to a split case 6spd found in WRX
