  1. Basically, for best bang, exhaust and a Stage II Cobb AP tune and it should really rock.
  2. Man...18 years 02/02/2024. Guess I'm an old timer.
  3. Thank you for your hard work Mike. Truly appreciated and the pricing at $66 per day is a heck of a bargain by any measure. I would say that any of us staying in the house could help out a bit more for all of your effort by an extra few $$$. I know I will and even if I don't stay in the house just because I'm thankful you did all of the work. I'll keep in touch on this and hoping we find the correct motorhome we're looking for and that will alleviate any sleeping arrangement anxiety but I have no issue paying my share for the lovely sounding facility.
  4. We're still in the plans to attend. We're looking at motorhomes as we now have a fur baby to bring with us and I've not had one for almost 20 years, so if I can find the "right" one that we both like, AND if it's capable of towing, I just MAY bring the LGT out along with me, but no promises. If gas is $2565496584196584367434 a gallon by then, I may not be able to afford towing it. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Last year was too short for us, and we look forward to relaxing and shooting the bull for at least one and hopefully two nights. In the event we don't find a motorhome, we would most likely be snoozing in the van but if we could shower, that would be great too. Our new Luna will be along, so we'll have to accommodate her too.
  5. Thanks for the questions. The red is Td05 platform and the black is Td06. I'll see if I can find my spec sheet on them. They're boxed and ready to ship, so I may have to open them to measure. Stay tuned. Thanks much.
  6. the wife would kill me, and then she would come looking for you, lol. I would sweet talk her right into water/meth injection for you so she could go 500 awhp, and THEN what do you do besides burn tires off it? Why, you go fast of course...LOL..
  7. I went ahead and lowered the price on this, so if you're interested in it, please PM me as I'm curious as to how much stronger this will run versus the OE VF54. I personally feel, based on the other turbos I build with these forged billet extended tip custom 11 blade compressor wheels (quite a few VF30/39/43/48/52 Custom styles), I think anyone who purchases this and puts a tune on it, is going to be completely surprised and absolutely ecstatic as to how much of an increase you get out of it. Truly hoping someone will give this a try and if it's a rocket like I believe it will be, please keep me updated. Thanks, John
  8. Well....I'll tell you. I would love to make someone a good deal on one or both of these. If you're considering an upgrade of this kind (and I know to go this large requires commitment in the needing of increased fuel system, larger intercooler, boost and intake plumbing, and custom tuning, and I get money doesn't grow on trees), drop me a PM. I know you won't be disappointed. I've been on here more lately although not commenting much.
  9. Go with complete new quickstruts. That way, every part is new and has a warranty AND they're completely assembled. I'm going to go that way and swap springs with Swift springs and be all set brand new without the potential rust issues of 19 year old OEM.
  10. Hello everyone, I notice that along the way since I first posted these, some of you asked questions about these turbos and I either was very slow to respond or in a couple of cases, I missed it completely. I ask for your forgiveness as during most of 2022 and early 2023, I was a bit preoccupied with other things in life that limited my ability to access these fantastic forums. If you do have any questions, please try again and I promise I'll be back on here at least a couple of times per week to answer them. I pride myself on communication as anyone that has ever purchased from me will attest, and I'm a bit ashamed for not being here when you need me. Again, apologies.
  11. All these looks and not even a question? Ask about my Custom versions in the 4th gen threads and I know you won't be disappointed in this. Easy installation and Cobb AP Stage II and you'll be pleasantly shocked. Please don't hesitate to PM me with questions. Thanks for looking
  12. SAFE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! May you and family have the most blessed times whether together or apart.
  13. FOR SALE Custom VF54 in Stealth Black Brand new Inconel turbine/shaft assembly Brand new Forged billet extended tip custom 11 blade compressor wheel-20%+ over stock setup and MUCH quicker spool than stock Complete turbine/shaft/compressor wheel dual plane dynamically balanced Upgraded and modified journal bearings Upgraded and modified thrust plates and bearings Upgraded piston ring oil seals. NOTE: You will need to use your existing coolant lines and oil drain line from your existing turbo. Before installing the oil drain, you will need to make sure and sand the flange flat on a piece of sandpaper glued to a piece of glass. If you don't do this, it could leak. Complete turbo installation instructions and I'm available for questions and advice during installation and break in. The pricing on this is set right at $825.00 $775.00 shipped to your door in the CONUS. I ship using FedEx and I text a copy of the tracking information immediately upon shipment and follow up with texts to make sure arrival is without issue. If you've been considering purchasing a new VF54 from Subaru, you'll spend upwards of $1300.00 and that will get you a completely stock unit with the journal bearings that fail, piston ring seals that don't seal very well, and thrust plates that allow forward and back movement. And that's not to mention a cast 6 by 1/2 6 blade wheel that's heavy and slow to spool. Think about this one if you are looking. You won't be disappointed. I don't know if I'll ever build another of these. You can check me out in the 4th Gen forums if you're not familiar with my turbos. I'm not on the forums as much as I used to be, so I'll be checking 3-4 times per week. Please don't hesitate to PM me and I'll get notification of that on my phone. This is first come, first serve and I'll honor the first person to inquire with wish to purchase. Thanks much for looking. John
  14. You all are really rocking on this. I'm looking forward to finding out more and HOPEFULLY, I'll have a bit more time to visit the forums in the near future. This has been a summer of one thing after another and we're looking forward to seeing everyone again.
  15. Today is the first time I've even noticed your thread. Garage looks great and while you lament some of the things about the lift, you'll not ever regret having it as it will make most of your life a lot better, and that's all we can hope for is to help "most" of anything we work on. We'll never be able to get it all, so I think you did a great job on it, and I'm envious. My garage is beginning to tip over due to a neighbor's tree with the roots under the concrete so large it has one corner of the garage tipped up about 6", so if/when I get this handled with them (they live like pigs and they're assholes to boot, and if they don't agree to have the tree removed, I'm going to have every bit of branches that hang over my property removed plus the roots all removed, so if it falls on their house, I couldn't care less), I may be looking at having to knock down my garage and build new, and if I do, I'm going to see if I can get a permit to go tall so I can put in a 2 post hoist too. I'm in the city limits, so I don't know if they'll let me, but right now my garage is 16x24 and if possible, I would even like to mezzanine above the second bay for storage and as long as I could lift on Quickjacks on that side and hoist on the other, I would be good to go. Great job Pal. Sure looks good to me.
  16. Thinking about something we should have done on the first meet was to have everyone sign everyone's shirts with real name, LGT name, an date so we had it for other events. Perhaps, we should consider for the next meet?
  17. Nothing like an abundance of red heater hose to show everyone you cheaped out at AutoZone rather than purchasing that expensive (oil resistant) hose from the manufacturer.
  18. Apologies for taking so long to make a comment on this amazing and wonderful time together. First, I want to personally thank Eric (BoozeRS05) for his kindness in allowing my wife and I to spend the night in his second home on the way there and for leading the way directly to the campground. We can't thank you enough. When I refer to it as amazing, it's because I personally felt as though I had known all of you all my life and that in itself made the trip all worthwhile. To know that I have friends that are all over the place, in all ages, and all walks of life is completely enriching and wonderful. I also wanted to thank you for the absolute kindness and inclusion you showed to my wife. She talked all the way home about how nice everyone was and she's NOT a car person...LOL. Her comment on the way was "I have my book once I'm tired of hearing about cars" and that time never came. It was my complete honor and pleasure to be in the company of all of you, to know your passion and ideas and love for not only the cars (those are of course what started it all), but to know that now it goes much deeper than just the cars as it's for the people involved and to see and enjoy away from the keyboard. I've always considered the entire LGT community as without any shadow of a doubt to be the best group of people in a forum anywhere, bar none, but for the friends and this helps to cement that I was never incorrect in my thinking. To all involved in making this happen, you have my complete gratitude. From organizing the place to meet and making happen, to Mike's fabulous work on the shirts and stickers (plus the cool hat), and Jenny's work on the meals and cruises, I can assure you I will make sure I have more time to spend for the next one. Thank you my friends. Please never hesitate to reach out via PM if I can help with anything or just to shoot the bull. If you PM me, you'll have my mobile number and we can talk anytime.
  19. By the way, fighting an illness right now and that just might be the unforeseen complication I mentioned in the previous post. One hell of a headcold right now and if it's any worse, we just may bail.
  20. Well, we're planning on being there in the morning but don't know if we'll make it in time for breakfast or not. I guess we'll do our best as we're staying about 120 miles from the campground and plan on driving out to PA tonight. Barring unforeseen complications, we should be there by 9:00 a.m. Saturday. No cruises for us in the van, just came to meet everyone and say hello and will head back late afternoon.
  21. Glad to see you making your way out here John. Safe travels old friend. I'm still planning on a Saturday visit barring unforseen complications, but alas, without my LGT. My old body would not appreciate that ride for that far, but we're looking at leaving out Friday afternoon to about Pittsburgh and spending the night and then driving in on Saturday morning. I'll need to have an address again as I know it's back in the thread somewhere but I didn't save it. If someone would be so kind as to PM me that address, I would be most grateful.
  22. I saw this episode too. Sure sounded wicked and went like stink.
