Kojak
That damn Vader wagon, always pushing boundaries and keeping the rest of us on our toes. Looks sick af, haven’t seen it in person for a few years.
BoozeRS05
Not sure what I think of the shaved doors personally, but that's a baaad wagon. I'm looking at a used Perrin catback (doubtful, love my SPT) and full set of specB rear lower control arms (likely) tomorrow. SubOperator
Nothing special. Got a 2 year state inspection done, good until 04/2023. Also had the dealer make me a spare key for my new ignition lock that was put in 1.5 years ago. Just realized I was running with 1 key only. They charged me less than $50 for key cut and programmed to the car so can't be more happy about it. I guess it helps that I know all service and parts guys by name. Sad part they all also know me by name as well 2005 LGT Wagon Limited 6 MT RBP Stage 2 - 249K 2007 B9 Tribeca Limited DGM - 272K SOLD - 2005 OB Limited 5 MT Silver - 245K SOLD - 2010 OB 6 MT Silver - 205K
SubOperator
Took my little Nissan Pao to a C&C yesterday and met up with Gunnar. Checked out his awesome wagon. Looks so nice in person. That body molding delete on the side really changes the body line. I may do the same if I re-spray my car. [ Does look nice. I do like my door strips though. 2005 LGT Wagon Limited 6 MT RBP Stage 2 - 249K 2007 B9 Tribeca Limited DGM - 272K SOLD - 2005 OB Limited 5 MT Silver - 245K SOLD - 2010 OB 6 MT Silver - 205K
bubbagump
New oil pan and engine mounts! Figured while I had the exhaust manifold off it was time. Old oil pan was worrisomely rusty. Yeehaw! Edited April 14, 2021 by bubbagump
05MNLGT
prepping for round 2 painting. will not delete door molding. trying to stay as close to the actual design as possible. will replace all hardware with new. using the jdm roof spoiler, will use some filler to match the usdm roof line. the jdm roof spoiler makes the usdm spoiler look like a joke. so much better built. B-BGTLimited
Driving the 06 legally for the first time! Yeah it's together but not 100% yet... At least that's what the passenger floor says... LOL Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

B-BGTLimited
To be honest it is the most satisfying thing to be able to drive it with everything that I've done to it... also to have basically no issues on the first drive is really nice. I did take it out over a week ago when I first finished it and there was absolutely no problems... drove it down to my parents house and back, about 40 min trip. That's when I put it up to sort out the registration transfer (have to make appointments around here to do it) and ended up doing the 07 dash swap. That resulted in a bracket search on ebay for the radio box, finishing the 08 wheel wiring, adding AUX and installing the SAT antenna... a week later and I can drive it freely! Of course no WOT, only wastegate boost, and keeping it under 4k rpm for a few miles... it's peppy compared to the 07, probably the gearing change that I feel. xt2005bonbon
You probably are already doing this, but don't forget lots of engine braking to get the rings to sit and seal well. congrats again!
B-BGTLimited
Engine braking, and 3-5lbs of boost loading it... This is far from my first engine break in... Hell that rattily forged setup lasted about 100k... I think I did good with that.
boxkita
Shopping on the nameless site. The catback exhaust has been on my "want" list for ever. Slowly buying parts to swap in the 08 sti 6mt. Debating buying new coilovers, rebuilding the bc racing, or swapping the jrz out of the racecar. Been hemming/hawing on that for awhile. Been listening to podcasts on Fortune's c/o system. Sounds interesting. Build my car Boxkita Track days
LGTorv
Nothing crazy but I'm chugging along. Put my Killer B pickup on last night and resealed my oil pan with Hondabond HT. Hopefully I didn't overdo it, the last pan reseal was done by a dealer and had tons of excess sealant. Also started putting my intake manifold back together. New gaskets and everything, AutoZone generic PCV hose and also got out the nice Vibrant silicone hose kit for the vacuum lines. It's nice to see it starting to come back together. Also got my 06 front bumper and lights onto the new car, which makes me happy. The old bumper was missing a lot of clearcoat and I much prefer the full chrome headlight housing on OBP cars. B-BGTLimited
I much prefer the full chrome headlight housing on OBP cars. And here I am happy that my 06 came with a set of black surround headlights... LOL I hated the chrome ones on my 07, I feel like it took away the attitude of the car... Especially after seeing this 06 together. Everyone has a different preference tho Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
Code
I’m looking at the new grimmspeed flic kit for 08-14 wrx. I know my racer-x kit works on that year wrx and I’m wondering if the gs kit may be a new option for us. It does replace the crash beam with a custom unit. Does anyone here know the similarities between LGT 05-09 and wrx 08-14 crash beams? I just ordered the Cobb FMIC kit for the 08-14 WRX thinking the same thing - decided to take a chance since I can modify/fab if needed, and that kit also comes with a crash bar. I'll be getting to FMIC fitup after I actually have some time to get my motor together, probably middle of May. I'll be the guinea pig if you're willing to wait that long Edited April 15, 2021 by awfulwaffle

Finished installing my front Brembo calipers yesterday, but got my automotive inept brother to help me bleed. SubOperator
Didn't do anything with the car itself. But had the epoxy floor install in the garage complete in the new house, and it will match the RBP of my wagon very close. SubOperator
Btw that green bundle was Unclemat's JDM bumper ready to go on the truck to its new owner. Funny how life turns around. I am an immigrant, came to US 20 years ago with not much - good education, 2 large bags with books, blanket, even frying pan so I wouldn't have to spend the little money I had on anything. Worked hard, kept my wants at bay, put time and money into family. Still have my fleece jacket I bought at Walmart 20 years ago. Lived in a small house that we fixed and improved. 2 years ago we came across an opportunity to build a new house in a good new neighborhood, and we jumped on opportunity. Now I have a fricking 3 car garage. Life is good. Not a rant. It just sounds like country is on fire listening to news, and I thought it's worth to look back at where we were and where we are, and how far we've come. And how many good people are around. Thanks guys.
