ripstik
What copyright could that possibly be infringing on? subaru symbol. the guy makes them for most brands but none are available in the US https://www.etsy.com/listing/185307721/subaru-logo-gear-knob-beanie-hat
Humble Rumble
OH haha. To be honest, I couldn't even tell that was the Subaru symbol. It's so distorted on most of the hats he could probably get away with just calling them something different like "Stars Shifter Beanie" or something. 2012 Legacy 3.6R Build Thread 5th Gen Legacy BM/BR Body Kit Compendium Thread
Ellesedil
Subaru doesn't have a copyright on the Pleiades constellation itself. I'm sure he could figure something out if he really wanted to.
brandon.mol
I'd order those. That's ninja-sweet. If I ordered multiple, I could bounce a few on down south if y'all pay the cost/shipping.

TRUE! he probably went to sell them here and someone said hey man you can't sell name branded things (since them calls it "subaru", "audi", etc hats) and he just said **** it, etsy is for artist not businessmen. brandon.mol
I'm going to put in an order once they are "open" again after Christmas. Since its all custom, I could do a group order, of sorts, for those interested? To keep it simple I'd suggest all in one color combination. Humble Rumble
When the time comes, definitely make another thread to keep things organized. I would definitely be interested even though I'm AT. Those little things are cute haha. 2012 Legacy 3.6R Build Thread 5th Gen Legacy BM/BR Body Kit Compendium Thread

I would get in on that if we could work out the shipping to not be to crazy. and i agree with keeping everything one color combo... though i am partial to the blue w/ yellows stars
cww516
Could just ship/carry all but one south of the border, and sometime down here could stuff them into bubble wrap mailers and ship 'em out USPS first class. Not sure if that would save enough money to be worth it, but it's an option.
brandon.mol
Since they would be so light and not delicate, it would be cheap enough to throw them in the mail in bubble mailers. It costs me 10 bucks to send oil samples to the states so I'd expect it to be less than that.
if2dc
Finally installed this adapter. Healthy respect for that roll pin. Going 2 to 3 is the real winner for me in this upgrade. I always felt like I had to reach for 3. Not any more. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Niko0422
Hello I finally got the pin removed, my car didn’t have a shield but I can’t remove the OEM shifter plate. It doesn’t come off as easily as I thought it would. Any advice?
Sarang
Are you 100% sure that you removed both the smaller pin and the bigger pin? If so, give it a good whack. You could also got it with some penetrating oil.

cww516
Could also take a piece of medium-grit sandpaper and lightly do a couple passes around the stub. You don't want to get too aggressive, just enough to clean off some of the road dirt and corrosion.
Leggygirl
We got flushed finally , but couldn’t get pin in , it just won’t move at all. He tried the 3/16 pinch , we even bought a clamp to try to insert the pin , but not even the clamp helped

You may have moved the cables slightly when you were installing the bushing. You should make absolute sure nothing is loose or out of alignment under the car, then when everything else is determined to be good. Take off the shifter boot and see if the shift stop might be off by a little bit, chances are it moved slightly and is not lining up properly. Leggygirl
I went under the car today and everything seems to be in place . The Perrin bushing however seems loose in the hoop of the transmission cable , is that normal? Is it suppose to be a loose fit?

Leggygirl
I lost the pin so I used a Bobby pin
cww516
Sliding side to side a little is okay, but the o-rings on the outside of the bushing should keep it centered in the hoop. Points for ingenuity on the bobby pin to keep things together, but for the long term, it's probably worth picking up a replacement cotter pin at a local hardware store. Leggygirl
Thank you, I ordered this from McMaster Carr https://www.mcmaster.com/92375A001 But I’m not sure if it’s the right size, anyone knows the size or actual Subaru part number?
