Leggygirl Posted March 28, 2019 Share Posted March 28, 2019 I installed the Subaru pin for the bushing and now there’s no more axial play, but first gear still gives me some trouble sometimes. At times it goes in quick others I have to back it up and then put it back in gear. I also have the Perrin shift stopper , not sure if it has to be adjust again since the length of the throws has been shorten or maybe is that normal? ibr_adam09 Posted March 28, 2019 Share Posted March 28, 2019 Sometimes I have to re-pop it into gear for reverse, but I have a Boomba short shift lever, Boomba shift adapter, and Perrin shift stop. I think you might need to readjust your stop? if its too close to first gear, getting it in will be a tight squeeze. Loosen the stop, put the car in first gear, use something thin like a credit card between the stop and first gear, then tighten everything down. That thin gap should give enough room.
