freaksavior
I think it makes more sense to run it on the left side. Even if it was on the right, you're going to save what, 4" of wire, or tubing? I mainly say the left because the fuse box is right there, and I know most people poke through the firewall under the TMIC or go through the door by the wheel well. Nowzor
I say have it on the left side as well for the reasons mentioned above.
StkmltS
I had someone inquire about a AP V3 mount along with a single gauge also. I can do that also, however, I do not have a V3 or V2 nor do I have a model of one to go off of. There are a few (proven?) models on thingiverse you could probably use. My DiySB rebuild Got Misfires? I mean I could just have it go down and back out the bottom then you can make a hole wherever you want. I am just trying to make the "tube" so that you don't see the wires in the vent itself. Trying to keep it clean There are a few (proven?) models on thingiverse you could probably use. Hmm I did not know about that site. I will look into it a bit thanks. Poking around on other repositories also yielded zero results. Seems odd no one's made a file for the v3 yet. I'll keep my eyes open in case one turns up. My DiySB rebuild Got Misfires? utc_pyro
I cad'ed up a bracket for retrofitting our cars with the new Mini H1 7.0 projectors. TRS doesn't sell one yet, and a lot of people are having success with 3D printed ones over on HID Planet. Use 4mm/#8 screws to mount the projectors using this bracket. You might want to also print with a 100% infill for added strength. Change the attached file from a PDF to .stl http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1471991/zipLegacy_MiniH1_7_V0_change_to_stl.pdf

Streetlegal
So I received my first print (the one that was 100% filled) and I am very disappointed. I ordered this from makexyz. com I ordered a .1mm (~.004") build layer and as you can see it clearly is not that. Other than that the overall quality is very poor so I am rather unhappy about spending the money on this as it is pretty much a waste. I emailed them and I will see what they say if they respond. However, the other one that I ordered from Shapeways is done and on its way to me so I will have an update on that soon. Anyways here's the pics of the one I just got. Last few pics are comparing it to the one I printed here with a .007" build layer. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_094035521_zpsgkuawbk6.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_094018679_zpsy7imduf6.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_094007922_zpsxsfa9kmf.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_125224587_zpsggzsmkz3.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_124149653_zps95cz9yxr.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_124817496_zpsstnueo8k.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160408_124807489_zps9ioehgg7.jpg
Flinkly
doesn't look that bad. it's not like it's structural for guages, but may need to be for an AP mount version. i usually do a light sanding and paint all my parts regardless, and they look great after some TLC. yours does look better straight from the machine. * Build Thread * 26.53 MPG - 12 month Average *
freaksavior
^^ Agreed. There's clearly a quality difference, but some fill primer, and paint could probably get the makexyz model looking as good.
dzehner2
Has anyone tried ordering or printing one of these on a Formlabs printer? I bet they would look awesome!
discojon
Streetlegal, I'd be willing to upgrade my printer to a dual extrusion setup and do these with a dissolvable support structure. Don't want any profit from it, but it'd be great if the toolhead cost would be offset from sales. If you PM me the internal volume of the model, I can get you per piece materials cost. I'm even set up to Livestream so everyone could watch live as they print. Live.EmergentPrinting.com Edited April 13, 2016 by discojon

NSFW
Does anyone on this thread have the resonator bottle from their air intake sitting around? I bought an Outback that had the resonator removed and I want to print a cap to plug the hole on the underside of the intake box. But it's a PITA to remove the air box and a bigger PITA to access it from below to take measurements. And my LGT's stock airbox went into the trash years ago. So I was hoping someone could measure the diameter and depth of the part that fits into the stock airbox. In return I'll put a model of the plug/cap on thingiverse for free. Thanks! wesleyCrowbar
2.875" total depth 2.5" diameter. The smaller top section is 0.375" from the very top and 2.375" across http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160414/4c644cac0d155102c897ac498da434a3.jpg
NSFW
Thanks! I'm pretty sure the larger-diameter section is what's important. Will print one and see.
NSFW
How far is that mounting hole from the side of the cylinder? I can clone that part too, to hold it in place...
