  1. Yeah, my brake bolts have all been a pain to work with. Finally bought an electric impact.
  2. Started a new job today. Took 3 weeks off, and boy did it show. Didn't even think to open outlook for a few hours, since i'm so out of touch. And what a load of training and other info! Gonna need to stick the nose to the grindstone!
  3. Just starting to think about it, but maybe a 4runner or tundra
  4. I changed my oil. Also thinking of getting a V6 SUV or a truck. We have a 3k lb trailer now, and it feels awkward to always have to "borrow" the wives car to move it. I do like my oitback though... and almost thinking of keeping it as a third car since it's nearly worthless on the market. Can't believe how much i paid for it and how little it's worth. Granted, that was a LONG time ago...
  5. Washed it today. Should wash it way more than once a year, since it makes me love it so much. Need to fix all the little problems with it too...
  6. Yeah, got a new job in may, but taking 3 weeks off. Should have left my current job at least 3 years ago.
  7. Gonna be unemployed tomorrow at 9am. Never been happier!
  8. I can't believe i haven't noticed that this thread moved to a new volume for over 1700 posts!
  9. Wait, no one wants a used AVO TMIC these days? What about a VDC grimspeed master brace?
  10. A few weeks ago i attempted to change my canin air filter. Gave up after trying for 15 minutes... Need to look up the "how to" to get the right method in my head before my next attempt.
  11. So what's the going rate for an 08/09 grmspeedmaster cylinder brace and an AVO TMIC? Need these out of my life...
  12. Mine is so quiet now. Almost seems faster too. Placebo effect has kicked in! I did also swap my rear sway bushings from whiteline to oem. 19mm is an odd size, so started with the whiteline. So crazy to NOT here the poly squeeks! Thinking next week i will do some rewiring to fix windows and dash illumination, and swap in my grimmspeed poly exhaust hangers. Hoping those will keep my muffler flanges from hitting my rear sway... And if all this progress keeps up, i might need to wash it too!
  13. I already had the other side torn down, and hadn't taken the wheel off. So i slid the dumbell under the front of the tire to undo the lugs. Could have used the handbrake, but figured this was less detrimental than a handbrake without a "drum". I did put things together enough on the ither side to handbrake the "drums" to put the impact on the axle nut. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other...
  14. Hey, i did a thing! Changed both rear wheel bearings. They've only been noticably in need of change since february. Love my new cordless impact. And started with the passenger side, but seemed ok, but thankful when i pulled the drivers side and was quite noisy. Hopefully bought me another 5 years!
  15. Yeah, i saw that mesh too. It looked a lot better than most honeycomb i've seen, almost stock. No link provided though.
  16. I just got a spare, and seeing the back side, it seems easy to make something that would snap into the openings. But i haven't. And i'm planning on getting a new job soon, soy existing access to free time, materials and machines is about to disapear.
  17. Question for y'all: - What roof boxes do people prefer? I have been looking at thule and yakima, and i din't think i can see a real difference that sways me one way or the other. All opinions welcome. Just getting it to extend the stuff we can pack for trips, as we are always stuffing the car full and then jamming two kids and a dog on top of it. Also, whatever you do, don't get rid of an oem axle. Aftermarket rebuilds have been junk for me, if you even get one that fits (took me several tries feom autozone). I'll be doing raxles next time. And i thought front axles were the same between 5mt and 6mt? I thought ut was just the rear?
  18. Can always use the lumen meter on your phone. Just install the arduino app that lets you log your phone sensors. Granted, probably not the best, but you can finally get your lights done! Arduino science journal
  19. I wish my car was that shiny when i went to get groceries...
  20. Lol, yeah. $21 each for the boots, $45 each for spark plugs and another $110 to "tune" my electronic ignition. Makes me wonder if i can trust them to do an alignment. I wil say that i had extra wear on the outside edge of my front tires, but the "before" alignment didn't show any out of spec camber. Oi vey. Who can you trust anymore?
