  1. Just put my TA tune on for the BNR 16G turbo, Grimmspeed EBCS, and Invidia catless DP and WOW what a difference. And this is the low boost turbo break in tune.... Mike has been great through this whole process and I look forward to working with him on the revisions!
  2. Turns out, my OEM turbo had larger studs than stock by my mechanic during the engine swapaganza, so nothing BNR did there. Weird! Finished the install last night and she's running great!
  3. 212k, just got a rebuilt engine at 209k, and now I'm putting in a BNR 16G turbo, Invidia catless DP, Grimmspeed EBCS and a tune by Tuning Alliance. :D While taking the downpipe off I noticed some grease coming out of the driver's side CV boot, so it'll be time to replace that soon. Also need to do all four corners for rotors, pads, and some stainless brake lines. Fun times ahead!
  4. Do you do your own detailing? If so, what do you use to get spider marks and scratches out of the black paint?
  5. Well, the swap took a long time this weekend, but thanks to msprank's writeup it's almost complete. Things to note: -Some BNR turbos don't have the coolant outlets in the same spacing as stock. I had to cut apart the "bridge" between the stock coolant lines to make them fit. -Some BNR turbos (like mine) also have smaller holes for the studs to mount the intercooler onto. Make sure to ask to have hardware included, or plan on making a run to the hardware store (like I'll be doing tonight...) -Check the calibration on your torque wrench with something you're ok with shearing off before trying to install your Infamous oil line kit. Or else you'll shear off a double banjo bolt like I did and curse Autozone for their crappy Duralast torque wrenches... and be asking msprank very nicely to send you a replacement post haste. -Definitely use anti seize on all bolts/studs so if you have to take it apart later it won't take eons to undo all of them like it did for me with them all rusted on there...
  6. I know this is a year old, but just wanted to say I'm FINALLY putting in this turbo this weekend after many delays in my schedule... Well wishes and good vibes are appreciated.
  7. Just got started with getting the base map from Mike after talking for a couple weeks while my car has been in the shop. Looking forward to doing the break in period with that tune and then getting into the POWAA!!
  8. Yeah, Formlabs would be good to look into if you wanted to buy a printer yourself. They're pretty amazing machines!
  9. Info on this? What kind of printer is it? I will order one from there to check it out depending on the price. So far Shapeways seems to be the best bet. I should have the model this afternoon. Here's some info on the Formlabs printer: http://formlabs.com/ You can also look here to find people who can print you models using one: https://www.3dhubs.com/
  10. As usual, I probably should have called you first before dropping $30 on the 40 micron filter element (I blame my impatience on the impending baby coming... Seriously driving me a bit batty). Lesson learned... Thanks again for getting this great kit together, looking forward to getting it on the car.
  11. Found it! http://www.xrp.com/ Call them up, they'll have you set up in no time. Just be sure to specify that you already have a filter housing, and just need the 40 micron media itself.
  12. He said you could order one through the manufacturer that Infamous uses for the lines, but I haven't been able to find it.
  13. Are the filters from V1 to V2 the same? I have a set of V1 lines that I never put on (no excuses really other than keeping forgetting about it...) but I'm finally about to do a turbo swap and the lines along with it. After talking with BNR last night during ordering the turbo, they mentioned replacing the 10 micron filter with a 40 micron filter. What do you suggest?
  14. Has anyone tried ordering or printing one of these on a Formlabs printer? I bet they would look awesome!
