MrTris
I'm learning as I go. These aren't exactly your Briggs & Stratton lawn mower engine or even a SBC for that matter. So there's a lot to learn. SBC= Seattle's Best Coffee?

kzr750r1
Happy to hear good news. I'm in debate mode on mine. May just go get two new head cores and start from there with the old parts. I hate machine shops at this point.

FJuan
Looking good RooTButT. As you're finding out, the more you assemble, the more you realized you're missing a few more parts. I thought I would be done in 2 weeks of my build, until I realized several over seen parts that needs replacing. Focking Subaru. My wife's balls are delicious. RooTBeeR
I was always planning on paying to have my eventual YNANSB done for me but you're inspiring me to want to learn to do it myself. I knew essentially nothing about these engines, until mine crapped out, started reading, and tore into it. I haven't had a problem yet. It helps having an assembled short block to start with though haha I'm so glad I don't want more than 300whp, because that's another whole can of worms. MrTris
300 is alot of ponies -- You could probably jump up to 335 or 350, max, but, again, best to stay somewhere in between.
RooTBeeR
I'm hoping for 250whp+. That'd be nice. The crank rated power at the wheels, should scoot me around well. However, I want to do the flex fuel kit, so on e85, it very well might be more.
