  1. Interesting. The ones from URO tuning won't fully seat on the Q300 tips either and we hand pushed them on as far as they would go and they stopped just about at the perfect length we needed them to sit past the bumper. Just did some light tapping with a rubber mallet on to get them equal on both sides. I could use a hammer to get them more seated but they are extremely snug as is and sit past the bumper. They haven't budged at all since that initial installation and have never had to adjust. I wonder if you could pry up/bend the internal mounting brackets on the tips to get them sit more snug before they get passed/sunken below the bumper.
  2. Can you 3D print a plug for the cubby hole where the clock's original placement is? I've always wanted to re-locate the clock to the ashtray but I have the STI Defi gauge pack and don't want to leave an open hole.
  3. I won't have a chance to measure them for a bit but I think either one of the links below should do the trick. I would guess any slip-on exhaust tip for the 05-13 3 series should do the trick. I was actually going to try and find another set since the Burger Motorsports ones are starting to corrode even though they're advertised as stainless steel. https://www.amazon.com/ESPEEDER-Pair-Muffler-Exhaust-Pipes/dp/B0757K9KZM https://www.amazon.com/SYKRSS-Exhaust-Muffler-Pipes-2005-2012/dp/B089YCK9HR/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=BMW+Auto+Exhaust+Tips&qid=1597937381&sr=8-5
  4. Nothing major but it's noticeable. Same type of improvement as a larger rear sway bar but just not to the same degree.
  5. Great weather today with a high of 80° and got on the wagon hard to and from work. Also updated my build thread. Link for any of those that may be interested. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/doctors-05-white-wagon-281690.html?p=5942247#post5942247
  6. Right around that same time I worked out a deal with BooseRS05 to take his Spec B off his hands for the 6MT, aluminum suspension bits and some miscellaneous other items to throw on the wagon while he took the motor and pretty much anything else he wanted from it to put on his wagon or sell. Drove out to Pennsylvania the last weekend of June to bring it home. Was the worst trip of my life to due to a catastrophic failure that occurred with my dad's truck but still made it happen. It's currently sitting on the curb in front of my house until I decide to get it towed to the shop and begin the parts swap process. While the car has been sitting I pulled some parts from it and put them in my wagon. The first thing I did was dis-assemble the door cards for the alcantara inserts and transferred those into the JDM door cards that had been sitting around the house for over a year now. Wasn't very hard to do but it's still a tedious process that takes time and care doing to not break important plastic pieces. Madrig also makes mounts for the 3" front door component speakers so I installed those and the JDM mirror tweeter housings along with the new door cards. The doors had been sound deadened before but threw some more in while everything was off. Next I pulled the lower dash and center console from the Spec B to throw in. I purchased a new trim panel for the cup holders too as mine was scratched to hell. Still trying to source an EDM console to swap in but this was still a nice littler upgrade.
  7. Time for an update. About 2 months ago I decided to install the JDM STI rear strut bar and the McIntosh subwoofer housing in the cargo area. Installing both of those items pretty much requires that you remove the entire interior from the rear seats back and while I had it torn apart I remember that I had some sound deadening lying around and decided to clean everything up and apply some. Not a huge difference in sound reduction from exterior noises but the interior rattles and creaks are no longer existent. The STI strut bar I sourced came with the factory interior piece so I didn't need to cut up the original but I thought it was a little odd that the USDM piece has a channel carved into it while the JDM one doesn't. It wouldn't fit snug without the channel so I had to carve into the JDM piece and then hit it with some heat to melt any flaking styrofoam. Few pic's of everything installed and the interior back together. Love that I can either show the strut bar off if I choose or it stays hidden under the cargo all weather mat.
  8. Looking sharp. Makes me wish Circuit Demon would hurry up with my headlights so I can start my face lift swap.
  9. That's incorrect. All Legacy hoods from 05-09 are interchangeable as well as the 05-07 Outbacks. The only hoods that are different are the 08-09 Outbacks.
  10. I would had loved to look into this option earlier but I'm in the end game of modifying the wagon and can't see myself importing much else from the land of the rising sun. I guess I could always do some hunting for the S2000.
  11. I would be down for one. I have been toying the idea of getting mine molded for a while now.
  12. '11 STI wheel and airbag. I was really trying to find a decent STI wheel that has the darker, almost black circle around the STI logo but this was too good of deal to pass up. $260 shipped for the wheel/airbag/controls. Eventually I'll get the airbag with the darker trim to match the controls and upgrade to a DAMD wheel. I should have said center console, talking about the same thing. I'm envious of your EDM console.
  13. Did something fun today for the wagon. Still wish I could get my hands on an EDM dash. Swapped in the lower dash from the Spec B and gave everything a decent cleaning/vacuuming while I was at it. I bought a new center console top so I no longer have a scratched to hell one and also made sure to keep the center console cubby from mine since it has slightly more room because there is no AUX input in there with the cig lighter. Found out that there was actually a cabin air filter in the car when I had everything apart and it had all kinds of dirt and dried leaves in there. Gave it a couple wacks against a wall and vacuumed out what I could and threw it back it. Was disappointed to find out that even though the glove box from the '08 has the nice little service door you can pop out you still cannot take the air filter holder out entirely without removing the glove box. Also lubricated the TurboSmart BOV as I was occasionally getting FKL on throttle lift off when in higher boost. Seems to have done the trick but going to keep monitoring that. All in all a good weekend for car projects as I spent about 8 hours on Saturday completing some projects on the wife's wagon.
  14. S402 has the same gearing as any 07-09 USDM SpecB. Was it easier/cheaper to source the S402 transmission rather than a SpecB one? Regardless, great time to upgrade the front diff to the Helical LSD and get away from the open diff.
  15. I don't think he does but could be wrong. I know he has a non-STI JDM facelift bumper with the Subaru under spoiler (not the lip) like me and we casually mentioned in my build thread trying to find a lip solution for that under spoiler. See post 29 for clarification on under spoiler. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/doctors-05-white-wagon-281690p2.html
  16. Don't think anyone is saying otherwise. Talking about shipping for just a bumper lip.
  17. Still kinda crazy that's how much it was just for the lip even with covid. I bought a facelift STI bumper from the yahoo auctions and that was $1,100 to ship with DHL. The bumper I get, the lip not so much. For comparisons sake, I bought an OEM front lip for my S2000 from the UK and that was only $150 in shipping. I also bought a new STI lip off Nengun for the non-STI JDM facelift bumper I have and the shipping was only ~$170 via FedEx coming from Japan. DHL was like $20 more. I haven't talked to madrig about this yet but I had the idea to buy a new STI lip from Nengun or wherever and have it shipped to him for the carbon fiber treatment. That way he has the template for others and I can have multiples in case one ever gets trashed for probably the same cost as one authentic lip pre-shipping costs.
  18. What's your shock situation look like? I'm on Koni yellow's with swifts (rolled fenders) and I still get occasional rubbing on hard turns but I can remedy it by adjusting the rebound to stiffer if I so choose. If I ran full stiffness I can pretty much eliminate all rubbing without drastic camber but if I go full soft I'll start rubbing again just from bumps and dips in the road while driving in a straight line.
  19. Was this the carbon lip that was on the auctions for a little bit?
  20. Just as an FYI - someone has flipped the gauges before. No detailed write-up though. See post #4: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/nicks-05-swp-wagon-project-lgt-re-mastered-277804.html GLWS
  21. Much appreciated, just don't look at the center console around the cup holders. Only items from the Spec B currently in the car is the alcantara door card inserts and I'll install the center console & dash trim soon. Everything else -> full upper black conversion from tan, '14 STI seats, '11 STI wheel, rear seats are the original Leggy leather, door cards are from a JDM Leggy with the McIntosh stereo (fronts have the additional 3" speaker spot - rears are identical to USDM). Seat belts are from safetyrestore.com, you ship your seat belts out to them and they have a bunch of different webbings they can replace the originals with.
  22. Well, knocked out a long overdue project and feeling really good about how it came out. I gutted the alcantara door card inserts from the Spec B panels and put them in the JDM door panels. Also had to swap the front window/lock switch face plates onto the correct sides. This part of the project was not very fun. It's not super difficult to do but you have to be careful and very tedious when removing the plastic rivets or you destroy the possibility of securing the mounting point with interior screws when putting it back to together. Threw in the additional mirror tweeter housings and the 3" mid component speaker mounts that madrig made out of carbon. While each door card was off I swapped in the OEM speakers from the Spec B just because they were in visibly better shape. No real difference in sound from the speakers but I also added sound deadening material to the inner & outer shells of every door and the cabin in noticeably quieter and music sounds more clean. Now I just need to upgrade and add more speakers, get the rear re-upholstered to match the STI seats and try to source an EDM console. Going to be swapping in the updated dash panels and center console from the Spec B for the time though.
  23. Here's some pic's. Everything is functional but it could use a cleaning.
