  1. One more SpecB gone for good. May current SpecB owners rejoice in their increased rarity.
  2. Didn't go crazy on the coverage, maybe 50% or so. I used the knock and tap method as well looking for the most resonant spots and tried to find that sweet spot of vibration reduction without overdoing it and not adding unnecessary weight. I think I saw in one of your posts that you did some foam/insulation which I haven't done any of that. I'll probably look more into this when I get around to upgrading the stereo and replicating the 11 speaker McIntosh setup.
  3. Lol I'm not ready for that type of little shit just yet. Wife is pushing hard though. I used the sound deadening in the link below and did it all myself. One of the younger guys at the shop (CarTech) did the doors back when it was painted but I re-did all of his work because he did a terrible job. He also no longer works there anymore thankfully. I think for just the 4 doors, rear seat & cargo area I used about 9-10 sheets. I haven't done anything under the carpet or in the front of the car. The rear is dead quiet now and the dash rattle is more apparent than ever. http://www.raamaudio.com/raammat-bxt-ii-37-5-sq-ft-bulk-pack-now-with-usps-priority-shipping-option/
  4. Have a brand-new and unopened Group N transmission mount for the 5MT. Was going to install with new motor mounts but came into a 6spd swap not too long after purchase. Price does not include shipping but does include PayPal fee. The friends & family route is always welcome if you so choose. $OLD
  5. Puppers update, 2 1/2 years old now. Love these little shits, turned us into Shiba Inu owners for life. Also just realized I never posted pic's of the upper interior conversion to black either after looking at the last one.
  6. 4th gen or the 05-09 legacy/outbacks (03-09 if outside North America). BL is the chassis designation for sedan and BP is for wagon.
  7. Yea, if it's any consolation the body wasn't in the best of shape and rust was working it's way in areas over the body/doors/trunk. I should probably grab the VIN before it's sent off to mark it's death in the SpecB thread.
  8. You mean like this thread? https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/doctors-05-white-wagon-281690.html I'm not going to post the whole project in the WDYD today thread, just minimal things here and there that I actually did that day. The build thread will get updated with everything when it's all done. Honestly, I found it a chore to make the build thread. The most off-putting part about it is getting the pic's resized to the acceptable forum dimensions.
  9. Swung by the shop to go over some wagon project details. The SpecB has been completely stripped of parts and is going off to the junkyard soon. First up on the agenda is removing all the bushings from the sub-frames & aluminum bits. The aluminum parts/tranny/diff are going to get cleaned and then new bushings installed while the sub-frames are going out for sand-blasting/powder coating before installing all new bushings as well. Going to be treating this project like a resto-mod of sorts. Everything is going to be cleaned (includes underside of the wagon) and installed with new bushings. I'll also be taking care of the rear brake junction box and gas tank/filler neck while everything is out for peace of mind.
  10. Internal for now. I've got a JMP customized 18g that will be going on at the same time.
  11. Repaint the car black. There's enough DGM spec B's out there already.
  12. Jeez, I already have the regular sub bracket installed and this is very tempting.
  13. 01 Celica GT -> 87 Buick Park Ave -> 04 Lincoln Town Car -> 96 Lincoln Mark VIII -> 87 Nissan 300ZX -> 94 Cadillac Seville -> 01 S2000 and then 05 LGT. I didn't have much choice in the time period between the Celica & 300zx. My Dad was constantly buying and selling cars and I just took what I could get since I was in college. I do miss that Mark VIII though. Black ext/int with a dark tint and black dice accents on the lock pulls.
  14. Killer B holy header with their v-band up-pipe combo, both with swaintech ceramic coating. I'll let you know when it's off.
  15. My wagon thread has a handful of pictures of what it will look like on the car. Madrig makes top notch stuff. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/doctors-05-white-wagon-281690.html
  16. I can't comment on the Grimmspeed coating vs ceramic, but my GS coated uppipe is coming off in November and will be up for sale around that time if your interested in waiting for a cheaper used one.
  17. It has an A.P. Suretrac front diff compared to the open diff in the Spec B's. Everything else is the same. In short, the suretrac diff has the ability to detect and send torque to wheel with the most traction. Some good reading here if you want to know more. https://www.iwsti.com/threads/suretrac-differential-what-does-it-mean-to-sti-owners-long.1420/
  18. Have a few miscellaneous items for sale that have been laying around. Prices do not include shipping but do include PayPal fee. However, I'll like you more if you send friends & family. Enkei Center Caps - $OLD - new, never used. Came with a set of Raijins "Aluminum" Accelerator Pedal & Brake/Clutch Pedal Covers - $OLD - Came off an '08 Spec B, some wear but nothing awful. Window switches - removed, believe I accidentally threw these out with some junk parts. Passenger Side Interior Door Handles - same as window switches
