  1. Friend has good taste going with the F20 over the F22. If you really want to make that Datsun a riot to drive try to find an AP2 tranny to use instead of the AP1.
  2. +1 on the Swifts. I've got them paired with Koni yellows and they're great.
  3. Drove it work and ordered some more parts for the Spec B swap & turbo upgrade. Torque Solutions aluminum carrier bearing, i-Wire fuel pump kit, and all whiteline bushings for the rear control arms. Think the only thing left is Koyo raditor, new hoses and the rear diff bushings but I may just swing for the Cusco reinforced one to match the rear sway bar.
  4. Took the wagon for a little road trip to Cincinnati this weekend because the wife wanted to go to the IKEA since ours didn't have the complete set of furniture she wanted. Ran about 80 both ways with the sun roof all the way back and the music turned up. Today, washed the wagon along with all the others and took some photo's since it was super nice out.
  5. Yea, most of things I found were on the Evo & BMW forums as well with most actual owners saying they loved it. Did you have the GS intake when you ran the other DVs/BOVs? If so how was the sound comparison? I've got the cobb intake and the Turbosmart Kompact full re-circ and the woosh sound is actually about the same loudness as when I ran the GFB at 50/50, although I like the sound the Turbosmart one makes more than GFB. Won't be able to try and find videos until after work today.
  6. Never heard of Synapse before and their Synchronic DV. After doing some quick researching I may need to give this a try. There isn't a lot out there on these but I like the design of these and the fact you don't need to lube the piston ever seems like a nice plus. I've ran GFB in the past and currently a Turbosmart. No real complaints from either but I hate seeing more wear on the piston every time I go to lube.
  7. Sent the Spec. B off to the shop this morning to start the tear-down/swap process.
  8. Yup, they a made a custom bracket for the projectors and made it happen. We'll see on the demon eyes, I don't plan on using them when driving the car so if they're not that bright I won't really mind. I wanted them more for the stealthy custom touch that can be turned on to show the car off the little from time to time but overall fly under the radar.
  9. Finally got some pic's of the headlights and they should be shipping out today and delivered by the weekend. Love how simple and clean they are. They have the custom lens etching, RGB demon eyes, and the projectors were upgraded to Morimoto 4TL-R's to not have to deal with flipping the shields....JDM front end swap here I come.
  10. Hey, same to you sir! I would love if they did a meet. I think the last one they did the wagon was stuck in the shop getting the black interior conversion done and then they haven't had one since as far as I know. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope they do. I mean cars and coffee has been doing they're thing every Saturday for the past couple months, so hopefully Tom Wood does. Definitely, originally I was going to let the shop do the swap but they're tied up with a few $100k donk projects so I'm going to tackle it one weekend in the near future.
  11. Drove the wagon today after letting it sit for the majority of the week to drive the S2000. Excellent fall/turbo weather this morning. Got news that Circuit Demon finished up my JDM facelift headlights and I should have some pic's later today. After about a 3 month wait on these I should be able to start diving in on the JDM facelift next weekend. Now I need to speed up figuring out my fender vent situation/plumbing.
  12. Why not same time? Can't think of a better time to swap the trans if the header/turbo/dp are off the car to be replaced.
  13. Interesting. I get some pops when shifting as well but only when I'm flooring it and shifting close to red line but even then it rarely happens. I will get light burbles/pops on decel in 1st & 2nd the majority of the time though. Really love it when I'm in navigating a parking lot next to a wall or building and hear it even more. Never ran catless.
  14. What DPs are both of you running? I've got very minimal if any drone and running the GS catted/limited. The shop and I both thought the exhaust was slightly quieter with the tips on but that could easily be a placebo effect. There's random days when I think the car is running louder or quieter than usual.
  15. Looking sharp! The tips I put on my Q300 did the same thing of highlighting the tweak. Mine sits just like yours, drivers side is high and tight while the passenger side is slightly lower.
  16. It's definitely a more involved process than the driver's side but worth it in my opinion.
  17. Same here. Between the material difference and the bolstering the seats just hold you so much better, especially when taking corners spiritedly. I know there is a common mod to unzip the rear of seat and unclip 1 row of the metal frame basket thingy to allow you to sink into the seat back a little more for even more bolstering.
  18. Appreciate it! I wish the damn headlights would hurry up and get done so I can give you feedback on your harness that I bought months ago lol.
  19. Got an update on the headlights from Circuit Demon and looking at a 2 week eta for when they'll be done and I can start the front end swap. In preparation for said swap I figured I needed to get moving on making the S402 fender vents some-what functional. After a little dremeling here's what I ended up with. Now I need to figure out some sort of duct work/piece that will fit over the back of the vent on the inside of the fender and tapers down to where a hose can be fitted and routed to where I want in the engine bay.
  20. Yep, I think at most you have to swap one connector from the Legacy seat to the WRX but not entirely sure. When I got the STI seats for mine the driver's side was already done and completely PnP.
  21. Depends on the car. Legacy no, to far in on it. S2000 yes, just in case the unthinkable happens and I have to sell it and revert it back to stock to try and get top dollar.
