  1. Almost have everything needed for the facelift before I drop it off at the shop for paint. Waiting on the front under spoiler for the 2.5GT bumper and called a last minute audible to purchase a STI bumper. Not looking forward to shipping knowing how much the front under spoiler was. Hopefully I can consolidate a few other items that I've been waiting to ship.
  2. Liners came with but they're not in great shape so I ordered brand new ones from Partsouq and saving the others in case I ever need them or those riveted on extensions.
  3. Finally got to drive through some snow with my winter tires this morning, but the fun was over by the time I got to work. Picked up an 08-09 bayson r lip to see if it can be fitted to the Subaru under spoiler for the jdm bumper and snagged a dual center console. Talked to eBay this morning and officilly found out that my jdm facelift headlight fiasco worked out greatly in my favor. Get to keep the set and fully refunded. Cracked passenger lens but it came with all the internals and bulbs. and the housings are in great shape. Nice lighting in the work parking lot this morning. Too bad I'm a garbage photographer.

  5. With a mild drop like that you may be able to get away with a 245/40 without a roll, maybe fine tune with some slight negative camber during an alignment. I run 245/40 on a lower setup (koni/swift) and I rolled all 4 corners with about -1.2 fr & -1.8 rr camber. A 235/40 tire would be a safer bet if you don't want to chance it.
  6. Enkei Raijin's in 18x8.5 +45 - if you're looking by compatibility they won't show for the legacy. Need to put your car as a 2011-2014 WRX.
  7. Much appreciated gents! I'm getting giddy as the parts keep coming in. I think the USDM big booty bumper with the lower section painted black like the sedan helps add to the "aggressiveness". Also think the extended side profile of it helps the "in motion while still" illusion compared to the shortened jdm rear. I need to figure out if I'm going with the STI lip or the Subaru front under spoiler as I always thought the front lacked "aggresiveness" compared to the rear. Rear 3/4 angle is by far my favorite and could stare at it all day. Love the rain guards! Maybe a slight noise reduction depending on who you ask. I think there was but that could be placebo. Allows you to open the windows about .5"-.75" without rain getting in unless it's coming down sideways.
  8. Leave as is. Prefer the waist spoiler to the facelift garnish. Not going to touch the tails since it's my favorite style. When/if I need paint done in the future on the hatch I'm going to delete the badge on the waist spoiler. Should have had that done when the car got painted the Wind Chill Pearl but didn't think of it at the time.
  9. They're a dark grey. I'd consider this example black out. Really like these ones and do a slight smoke on the turn signal reflector bowl to tone it down a bit. It's too bad I hate amber or I'd probably go with these.
  10. Here's what I've got on the phone. I don't hate the chrome but there won't be chrome any where else on the car (except fogs) once it's all done and want it to be cohesive.
  11. This one shows it off better, should have uploaded this. Water won't get in but the crack extends from the outer to inner lens. You can feel it with a finger nail in the upper right portion but the rest is internal and smooth on the outside. More I look at Savethewagons style the more I want to go this route. I like the clear color distinction and how it mirrors/flows with the subtle outter line that extends up from the foglights on the GT bumper and draws your attention to it. At least it does for me.
  12. Could, still weighing the cost/efforts of my options right now. Leaning towards selling them discounted for what I paid (I should say what they were listed for), finding another set, and maybe pocketing some money. Still going to wait at least a week before I do anything with them in case he does reach out about returning them. Not the head lights themselves. Noticed the crack right away and took mirrored pictures of the head lights to his listing pictures and pointed out every inconsistency for why they were a different set than what he pictured in the listing. They also came with head light brackets that weren't pictured or mentioned at all. Crack is in between the low beam and DRL. Someone may be able to get his other set for free as he's using the same set of pictures in another listing and doesn't make a claim anywhere that "the pictures are representative" for what you're buying. Not going to lie the thought has crossed my mind to buy the other set and see if it plays out the same. Have a buddy buy so the name and shipping is different. Head lights?
  13. Never reached out since I don't want to run a full chrome set and would feel shitty buying those and painting over the blue tint. I did reach out to Tysparks like 2 weeks ago on his and never got a response. However, I did purchase a greyed set on eBay and the seller sent me a different set than what was pictured and I've been dealing with that for the past week but I think it all worked out. He agreed to accept the return and pay for shipping but wouldn't front the money when I provided multiple shipping quotes since sending them back to Malaysia originally would have cost like $800. He then wanted to see if I'd hold onto them and he'd reimburse me when they sold again, said no, he asked for me to ship them to Miami so I send him a quote and ask for it up front before I ship. Wouldn't do it without a receipt, sent him a follow-up today with a link to Ebay's policy on return shipping covered by seller and he never responded but initiated the full refund. Still hasn't responded about shipping them anywhere so it looks like I might get to keep them. It's just a shame one of the lens has an internal crack that can't be fixed.
  14. Is that right? famaya - have any jdm post face-lift head lights in good condition you wouldn't mind parting with?
  15. I have a hunch that a lip for the USDM facelift bumper may be easier to fit and be closer to the shape of the front under spoiler. I'll let you know. As an FYI I did go with the STI lip that is the specifically for the GT part #. There are other part #'s for the 3.0R and STI bumpers and not sure how much variation is actually between the 3 lips.
  16. Yea, I'm doubtful it will as well and was super close to canceling the order for the STI lip but I figured I'll keep them both to have the option of either. Maybe run the STI lip in the summer and the under spoiler in the winter to not worry about the lip breaking if I get into heavy snow. I really wish I could figure out what this guy did for his lip, very subtle. Shipping is on the steep side at $163 via FedEx international and that was the cheapest option.
  17. Do you know if the STI/STI replica lips will still bolt up with the Subaru front underspoilers like the one you've got on your bumper? I managed to pick up an under spoiler and an STI lip for the 2.0gt bumper I'll be using and I'm hoping I can use both but haven't been able to confirm it. Seems to be a one or the other. https://www.subaru.pl/docs/accessories/08MY_LegacyOutback_Accessory.pdf
  18. Agree with that and there not being a vacuum throughout the entire engine bay is what I was getting at. My thoughts for placement would be either higher up near the firewall/strut towers or closer towards the front slightly behind the radiator. I don't expect whatever I do to really do much in the way of reducing engine bay temps, but for the amount of effort it would take to dremel a few holes and snake a tube I figure why not give it shot. I could always start with a longer tube and perform repeated runs measuring temps with a IR thermometer and move the hose in different places to see if it does anything at all. Makes me wish I had and infrared camera to play around with.
  19. I don't know if the undertray creates a vaccum or not and hopefully someone else could chime in on that. Currently not running an undertray but that will change once the killer b's get put on. If it does create a vacuum, I would think that strategic placement of the hose and the design of the vents alone would be enough to over power a slight vacuum. The vents are recessed into the fender by at least a solid half inch and I'd have a harder time imagining there is a vacuum in the engine bay strong enough to make air turn 90° into the fender when passing over it doing anything above 35 mph and overcoming Bernoulli's principle. Could be wrong though, definitely not an expert in aerodynamics. Part of me also just wants to make them semi-functional so no one can come up and say "nice fake fender vents, my grandpa's Buick Lucerne had some like this".
  20. Nope, took a gamble on them through the buyee/Yahoo Japan auctions and it worked out nicely. Honestly surprised that I haven't been disappointed once with everything I've bought through there. There's currently another set of S402 fenders listed in WRB.
  21. I was looking for good picture of a legacy with the fender off to do some brainstorming since I remember there being very little room from when i tried to put on JSpeed fender braces. Thanks for uploading this. I wouldn't expect a small tube attached to the vent to make a huge difference but if it's easy enough to snake to the engine bay and mount it in the vicinity of the turbo I'll take any small gains.
