  1. Hmm. I haven't seen that in my own interactions. Granted I like the ball valves, 1/4 turns, etc, but everything gate valve I've ever interacted with has worked properly as well.
  2. Why? Seems like a waste of time / money unless you are concerned about leaking in the future.
  3. Why is it too damp? Gotta be some sort or reason or reasons that you could address over time...?
  4. I'll go through all my stickers and pass em out shortly.
  5. @Heffernan, you looking for the legacygt stickers? I can check around if that's what you are looking for.
  6. I went aftermarket clutch (FX350) and it was bad enough that I swapped to a 6mt with a stock STi clutch 2k miles later No regrets. Except for the FX350--ugh, that thing was horrible.
  7. Would the guy bring it to Springfield for me to take a look?
  8. Byron, how close are you to Macungie, PA? Guy there runs a yard that puts out a ton of 6mt swaps if interested.
  9. Hmmm, I'll have to take a look at that. Tall side towards the inside is correct.
  10. The down and dirty--wife and I are both out of shape, need to get into a routine. We both work, have two kids, and live essentially in a home where we have our living room and potentially the garage if we can keep it clean. How the hell can we work out in our own home while getting both cardio and strength training in? Any chance of a 30min workout of sorts that we could both do together? I have a set of PowerBlock weights, that's about it. No room for a machine of any kind, although I could probably swing a lifting bench of some sort. I used to do some circuit training that worked OK, but never got into a great routine. We DO have a set of stairs in the house that could probably be useful. Overall, looking to put together something focused on healthy bodies and movements, not necessarily ultimate weight loss or body building. Help if you can?
  11. $3k for parts is a decent deal. $1k for labor. Plus a clutch, $1k or so for OEM. So yeah, $5k plus or minus is a decent bet. DCCD will increase cost a bit, aftermarket clutches, needing new spec.b axles, etc.
  12. Walkthrough with pics here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/replace-power-steering-o-ring-247949.html?p=5292153#post5292153
  13. So this is an old issue, and mostly well documented here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/power-steering-o-ring-fix-197481.html I didn't see any pics though, so I went ahead and took some when I recently changed mine out. Part number needed is 34439FG000, they were $1.85 at my stealership after I told them that $4.xx sounded ridiculous. First pic shows the area you will be working in. In between the alternator and inlet. If you have an alternator shroud like I do you will want to remove it. Second pic is a bit closer in. Third pic. Remove this bolt. Fourth pic. Over to the right of the alternator and on the bottom side of the bracket. Loosen this bolt just so you can move the bracket out of the way a bit for better access. I don't recommend removing entirely, as there is another bracket on the backside of this bolt and you don't want to drop that. Plus there's no need. Fifth pic. Now go back over to the power steering side, swing the bracket away a bit, and remove the 10mm bolt securing the line. Don't worry, nothing will leak at this point since you are just removing the bolt. In the pic, you might see that I unclipped the sensor there but you don't need to do that. Sixth pic. Your new gasket! Seventh pic. When you remove the line/fitting, you want to quickly lift it above the level of the fluid reservoir that is all the way over on your left on the fender. This will prevent you from losing much fluid, but have some paper towels / rags ready anyway. Avoid leaking fluid on any of your belts. In this pic, you can see that I propped up the line with a screwdriver against the alternator, worked pretty well. Eighth pic. Coat your new o-ring in power steering fluid (ATF Dexron III in our case) and seat it COMPLETELY down in the pump. You could also choose to seat it on the line itself, but this is how I did it. If you coat it well and seat it well, either should work. Then reassemble. The only tricky part is getting the line back in there quickly as it will want to leak once you start to bring it down below the reservoir level. Just put it in place, and gently wiggle until it starts to seat itself and then press it all the way in. Good to go. Top off the reservoir as needed and be aware next time you drive as the system will bleed itself a bit as you drive and use the steering.
  14. Yup. Plastic ties are just for vacuum lines of you so choose.
  15. I don't know why, but it seems that Paypal isn't providing people with tracking info even though I'm printing the postage directly through Paypal. If anyone wants their tracking info please just PM me with your paypal name / email and I'm happy to send it to you. Otherwise everyone should hopefully have things in hand by Saturday / Monday depending on whether USPS manages to get things there within 2 or 3 days.
  16. For anyone that has ordered a kit at this point, THANK YOU! I wasn't completely sure that folks wanted me to make more of these but you all have made it clear that another run was warranted. Also, all orders will be shipping out via USPS priority tomorrow. I would guess that most folks should receive packages on Saturday.
  17. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Especially with how well they pack them up.
  18. You might not be wrong, but there's probably no chance of you being "right" on this one. Can't make the choices for her, can only give her the confidence and knowledge to make the best decisions possible, which I'm pretty sure you've done. But yes, I got married fairly young and she is too young, lol.
  19. I think this is the "water hammer" effect of the fuel line setup. Adding an inline filter and/or extending the fuel line in the engine bay is supposed to help I think.
  20. Thanks to everyone who has placed an order. I intend to get everything out over the course of this week!
  21. Website is back up and should be taking orders. I'll be shipping out kits as early as Monday. If anyone has any issues with the site just give me a shout. I'll start going through my messages / lists and sending out notifications, so sorry if you place an order and then get a message from me. Website is here: https://sites.google.com/site/bptmickit/ Happy Thanksgiving, hope everyone had a good one!
