  1. In general, over the years there have been many members that have been able to fix damaged TMICs with the kits. Unless the separation is so bad that the internal gasket is coming out, I'd venture that it's fixable. THAT SAID, I do not market the kit as a fix for damaged / leaking intercoolers, mostly because I simply can't guarantee that to be the case whereas I can absolutely guarantee that a properly BP'ed TMIC will not develop leaks due to increased boost pressure.   2. Fast forward. Been getting to the gym since about november, probably 2 times a week, give or take depending on schedules. My routine is typically 30 minutes of cardio and I have an AB workout program that I just alternate--bench press, rows, and squats one day; next time is overhead press, pull ups, and dead lifts. I use free weights wherever I can with those exercises. Wife and I started a 30-day shake program today. It's pretty aggressive and a bit more of a "cleanse" than I'd like, but the program seems pretty well laid out and should be a good jump start to actually losing weight in addition to just getting healthy through exercise. So yeah, no coffee today and I'm sitting here drinking hot water in hopes of satisfying the craving. I might just say eff it and ignore the no coffee rule in this program
  3. $4k for parts and you need to ship them from japan? eek. I paid $2900 shipped for a full swap from a part out spec.b--I believe that's still the going rate for spec.b trans swaps from a subaru yard in PA. STi stuff comes with hubs and runs a bit more I think (but not much). I didn't need anything but a clutch, all other parts were included.
  4. You can't defeat this solution with a vf40. The kit easily holds 25psi or more.

  6. This is true, but I'm not sure it matters (much). I've been running my setup in the reverse manner--all parts installed on an OBK with a Legacy driveshaft with no issues. I imagine if you are shocking the driveline or putting down crazy power, the angle of the driveshaft at the joint could eventually cause an issue--not sure tho.
  7. Any sort of transmission fluid cooling planned that would be worth addressing "while you're there"? Are you keeping all of the stock spec.b gears in there, or are different ratios beneficial for your needs at all? Rear diff and most of the transmission bushings / trans mount are fantastic upgrades IME. Check rear main seal and rear separator plate or whatever it is? Do you want to stick with the rear torsion style LSD? Or are their better options for your use? If you ever lift a rear wheel with the torsion LSD it can cause some trouble, not sure if other styles are better for road racing applications? I'm just spit balling here for ideas...

  11. This *might* be technically true, but in reality that's BS. Plenty of finished basements out there that never have an issue. Now if you finish it with an existing moisture problem(s), then sure, you're asking for trouble.

  13. Available at the moment with slightly shorter-than-spec front rails. Function just the same.
  14. As long as the threads are still good enough for one more use, just install some studs. Advance should have the right size.

  16. Something like 37 buckets headed your way, you should have them by Saturday. If you want to wait on the hardness testing () I think there are a number of buckets in my collection that are in the 500+ sizes. It's more likely that you will need smaller buckets from what I've seen, but hard to say really. Long story short, I'm probably sending you a bunch of duplicates. Might be worth measuring / cataloguing them and seeing what you have the most of and then sacrifice one or two for testing.

  18. Same here, scooby. Ok running a legacy spec driveshaft and have thought about trying to search for an OBK driveshaft. Add it to the list...
  19. And hmm...I have an '07 spec.b swap in my car. Wonder if it is pump or slung driven.
