Mountain Biking

I liked my Hope hubs but alas, I'm over the weight limit on the Stans Crest rims.

Anyone want to buy a rather light wheelset, tubeless? They have like 2 rides on them... I just don't feel comfortable pushing them hard. Hope 9mmQR hubs (with 20mm TA adapter front), standard 135mm QR rear, black spokes and nipples (don't remember brand) and Stan's Crest rims. I think they were $425 shipped from Wiggle but would do quite a bit less...

pics?

None with me now (at work) but this is what they look like:

http://cdn3.coresites.mpora.com/bikemagic_new/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/06-IMG_3158-625x468.jpg

Standard 6-bolt disc brake tabs. Zero marks/gouges on the cassette carrier. Less than 20 miles of rides.

It pains me to offer these for sale because I loved the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ of the Hope Pro rear hub... :(

LBS had Ibis Demos on Thursday, took a 29" Ripley for an hour. I want.

Going back to a 26" on the same trails doesn't feel as good.. there was also about 8-10 lb difference with the carbon in the Ibis too... but I can't do a $5500 upgrade right now.

I suffered a major fail on the trail this weekend. snapped the rear hanger, whole derailler got caught up in rear wheel. Things bent: chain and cage, broke: a few spokes.

Ordered a new rear derailler, chain and hanger. Going to need that bike upgrade soon *dreams of a Yeti

Taking my wife to Northstar for some downhill/FR next weekend...should be fun lol. Got her a 'cross bike at the end of last year that she's been riding to work for a few months (we'll rent her a proper bike there lol) so I'm thinking she'll do pretty good...wish me luck

My girlfriend fell into the return air vent in our floor after it had been open (no grate) for over 2 weeks while I refinished the hardwood floors... she can ride a cross bike on city streets but would probably die getting off the lift to the top of the hill before even getting on the bike.

Love her but she's not very... aware... sometimes. Good luck to you sir.

Was riding up at North Table Mountain here in Golden, CO yesterday, got all the way up to the top and got a flat. Sucked because I left my fix kit back at the house =)

Still grabbed a nice photo of the surrounding area though.

I gotta say, I'm really loving this brain technology shocks, they're amazing for climbing.

I put her in enough armor that she came out unscathed  She had to walk a few sections of a couple runs, but I was very impressed...and she actually liked it. So much so we're going back up in a week. I knew I married her for a reason

After some time outta the saddle, I'm stoked to be back on the bike. Riding like a hack...but fun nonetheless

So no mountains in Ellicottville, NY but we still have hills. This is just a quick edit of the 2 mile downhill we have. Cross X trail so everything going down you had to go up as well. This was the last of our ride so we were pretty beat up and tired. Still a fun time blasting down the run with a hard tail.

Cute little mountains you got there.

Back in the day before I went all enduro style.

Yeah. I had a stumpjumper first (01 I think). Same deal, cracked the chainstay like three times on Utah trails. Then upgraded to the SX frame (04). Never had any issues since. Used this bike so many times on Moab trails. So far, so good.
