Good news, my grill showed up today!http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/14/f8d02a85be2154fcf0f0446188df1b12.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/14/b1ccc3f7e9fd0cba8acc005f512c1843.jpg

Sounds like my JDM fog lights, fender liners, and a few other parts to complete my front end conversion as well as my grimmspeed intake and radiator shroud will be arriving tomorrow.

Here's the grill in better lighting, pretty excited with how it looks.

Bunch more updates:

More of the pieces for my JDM spec b front end conversion arrived including the headlight brackets, fender liners, lower foam, and intake guide. My extra room is slowly turning in to storage for car parts. Haha

My Grimmspeed intake and radiator shroud arrived and damn are they impressive quality. After seeing these I have no doubts about getting their TMIC and some other parts from them for my build. Can wait to get everything installed.

Minor hold up in getting my grimmspeed intake installed. Turns outs I spaced and accidentally shipped my MAF sensor with my Cobb intake... I did however get my radiator shroud installed while I wait for my sensor to get shipped back to me.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/19/5e39ec2b10c9e5d32710d233a4af7d8b.jpg

You are not going to love the way that grille fits. I've got it, also have the other one that resembles the usdm version. Can't seem to go back to the honeycomb because it just isn't snug enough.

Are you using it with the JDM spec b bumper? And have you modified the tabs on the bottom to get it to fit properly? I've seen one locally that after doing so seemed pretty solid.

Ever make your way down to Seattle? There's quite a few LGT wagons around down here.

Not too often I mostly go to the outlets and Monroe once a year, nice build btw, hey! How did you darken up the corners on the headlights ?

Outlets in Monroe? Do you mean Marysville? Which reminds me I might have to do night shots in their parking lot this winter. LegacyKid5 you can come too I'm starting to get the hang of my camera lol. Headlights are super easy if you are comfortable baking them to separate the lenses from the body and mask the bowl of the turn signal and paint the interior of the housing black.

Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston

I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

Thanks man! And like magnusonsubie said, I baked mine in the oven to pull them apart and pulled the amber reflector and backed out the housing. There are quite a few threads about the process to do so.

For sure man, hit me up when you're back in town.

That'd explain it, mines missing the bottom tabs and yeah it's with the jdm spec b bumper

After waiting for my MAF sensor to be sent back to me after I stupidly sent it across the country with my Cobb intake I was able to get my Grimmspeed intake installed and damn does it look good! Took it for a drive and it makes whoosh noises as promised. Can't wait to get some more Grimmspeed on my car.

You need the fog lights or any other jdm front end miscellaneous stuff? I have things lying around here-

I just received my fog lights yesterday which I believe was the last of piece I need to complete the front end, other than an undertray which from what I've heard is near impossible to get stateside due to shipping cost. I'm thinking I'll just trim a USDM one to match the JDM bumper.

  • 1 month later...

Well I couldn't resist the black Friday/cyber Monday specials and bought some more parts to complete my VF52 setup I'm working on. Ordered a Grimmspeed intercooler with thermal dispersant coating, a Grimmspeed electronic boost control solenoid 3 port, and a black Grimmspeed alternator cover to match the rest of my Grimmspeed engine bay.

May look into picking up the DW 65c fuel pump through rally sport direct as well while the sales are going.

Your ride looks sweet bro . I'm thinking of acquiring one within' the next couple of months .. Any pros and cons , & did you do a lot of the work yourself to it ?

Thanks man! I saw that you got a bit of feedback in the other thread you asked about it but I will say I absolutely love my car. To reiterate what the others have said, the biggest thing is do not buy one of these cars expecting to be lax about maintenance. These cars demand consistent attendance to fluid levels and otters maintenance but when done properly, from my experience I have had no major issues other than parts wearing out from sheer use around the expected time that they are said to last until. That being said, I've always used that as an excuse upgrade to better parts. Haha
