  1. Went for a little road trip last weekend. Was a bit smokey but cleared up the second day. https://photos.app.goo.gl/wRX5aEfihbAghqso9 Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  2. I think I did the same based on that old post that you found. I figure I'm at about 3k miles since I out my spec B trans in. Everything is still working great with no problems. Drove it all this week which I haven't done in awhile and remembered why I like this car so much. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Haven't been on here in awhile. Had some hooked up wagons visit for a BBQ this past weekend Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  4. I've actually only done each corner once in the last 6 years and 55k miles of owning it. That would require driving it. It's sat for the post part since May of 2018 shortly after I put in the 6 speed. I haven't been home much to get out and drive it. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Also if it's gone unnoticed I had the plastic moldings removed and shaved on the doors so they are fully smooth. Super subtle change to the look but I really like the way it came out. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  6. 18x9.5 +38 Volk TE37 with 255/35 Bridgestone S-04 potenza Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  7. They are such a good wheel and I'm so happy with them. Had to raise the car quite a bit as they rubbed at first when I put them on since I went with a 255/35 tire. I still haven't gotten around to doing the upper interior black so next time I'm home from work that's on the list to do. I'll also be getting the front end wrapped in protective vinyl and then ceramic coat the whole car and then just drive it and enjoy it. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  8. Backyard shot with my Rover creeping in the background. Been awhile since I've posted it and haven't posted it since I got it back from the paint shop. Paint is BMW CarbonSchwarz Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  9. Forgot to post here but the car is all painted and looks fantastic. I'm back at work again though so it's sitting on a battery tender in my garage now. I also bought a house with a shop while I was home so no more storage unit and parking stuff at my parents place. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Longest 4 weeks ever!!!! But, the body shop was down a tech and my project for them was pretty specialized. Didn't make it home till the beginning of May but the shop has made steady progress and I saw the car this morning fully primed. Paint going on this week and I should have it back by Friday.
  11. I did have to roll the fronts as they would rub every once and awhile especially when driving spiritedly. Also, the car is at the body shop currently getting painted so I should be able to pick it up in 4 weeks when I'm home at the end of the month!
  12. Cars still sitting in storage in the same spot it's been since I parked it last year around this time. At one point my friend went and pulled the exhaust to put in a new resonator as while j was in school is drug it across every speed bump on campus and it had some holes in it so he put a new one in. No idea how it sounds yet but I will get to hear it in March. Going to be home for hopefully a couple months. Plan is to get my parents to load it up and take it to the body shop shortly to get it painted so I can pick it up right when I get home and finish up the interior. Worked a ton this past year and the truck is now paid off and I've set aside a good amount so hopefully this year will see the Legacy getting its own garage and not a storage unit.
  13. Wow you've been busy! Been away for awhile now and wow I've missed a ton! Looking like I will be back home in mid March for a little while. Might have to look through all the parts you've made and make a list! I'll shoot you an email sometime over the next few days. Keep up the good work!
  14. Man I miss all you Nor Cal guys. I'll probably make a trip down this next winter when I get off this ship in November after going around the world. Would be a good road trip with fresh paint and the new front end I put on last time I was home.
  15. Appreciate the part numbers for those black caps! Might order some of those and wrape my current pillars and headliner all the same so it all matches.
  16. That is a way to do it, but your stock switch has 3 positions, off, parking lights, and low beams. If you wire in the "swoop" light of the facelift lights to the parking light you have control via the switch and then can then just unplug the DRL plug under the dash. Having a manual car in the event I stall it I'd rather have the ability to turn all the lights off before restarting the car in to save bulbs from the voltage surge during start.
  17. Low cars, inclined driveways. Or in my case not having the ramps set right when pulling up onto the trailer.
  18. Best lip for the prefacelift bumper is the $90 one on eBay with the $10 STi badge stuck onto it. Looks OEM and is 100% polyurethane so if you do hit it on the ground it flexes rather than shatters.
  19. Probably won't cut holes I'll probably find a way for the airbag to be secure behind the pillar without it showing through via the hole that the factory pillars have
  20. I think in order to not have the highbeams come on as DRL you have to redo wiring under the dash. I have had my high beams disabled since I got my car but since it's an 05 it was easy to just unplug the harness. I know with 08's you have to cut a wire. That's probably your best bet and then set up that white led to come on with the parking lights.
  21. Is that lip polyurethane or fiberglass? I've got a replica lip from an Australian company that is polyurethane so it has some flex to it to go on my facelift front end.
  22. I actually prefer the lower half of the other bumper as well. There's an Australian that molded the top half of a facelift bumper together with the bottom half of a prefacelift bumper. He parted out his sedan and I actually offered to buy and ship his bumper to the States but he'd never give me a shipping quote and then I found out he'd bought a wagon and was putting it on there.
  23. Nope. Like WRX USA said the S402 ones have the fake vent that is just for looks. Yup. Forgot to adjust them so they are pretty much pointed at the ground though. Oh well. They put out fantastic out put though. Yup. The storage place has a bunch of 40' containers that they put a wall in the middle of. The one I'm in is divided into a 30' side and 10' side. I've got the 30' side so I've got a bunch of spare parts in there as well as my motorcycle and still there's quite a bit of room inside the box.
  24. Same. I've got another set of lights on the way that have all the plugs so I'll redo the 1 that I'm missing so that it is truly a plug and play setup and OEM in appearance.
  25. Going into storage like this ready for paint. Fenders already rolled for my other wheels to be able to fit.
