Yep. 30 mins from my door. Best snow on the west coast, and the most open terrain in the USA, currently.

I just picked up a Voile Mojo XL 171cm splitty. Haven't tried it out yet but soon hopefully.

Decent coverage? (ie, not skiing over rocks and roots on the trails that were open?) Any idea what trails were open? I'm unemployed and bored... might be worth a day trip at those prices!

I might be interested in a few weekday day trips. Would have to work out child care with the wife, but the possibility exists. Lemme know if you're interested.

Oh sweet! Yeah, envious of your maritime snowpack, that's for sure.

You on pucks, plates, and...sparks or something?

My buddy has slider tracks, an extra set of binders and skins for me to borrow for now. He suggested I get the Spark bindings. I could get the Voile bindings on a pro form deal, but he said the Spark's are where it's at. Not in a big hurry since he has extras that I can borrow.

Finally got to rip some powder. It was heavy and without a real base, so I caught some rocks and roots, but it was worth it! Still snowing here in Vail and I'll probably ski Beaver Creek again tomorrow.

So ill on the mountain today. Snow was beautiful. Snowing the whole time but nice and dry. Nothing stuck to goggles or board when you got to the bottom of the lift. Derkson derby finals was today. Pros everywhere.

I blasted up and was on the lift at 9 when they opened. Got 7 runs in and rolled by 11:15. Made it to my open house at 12:40 after getting gas (had 315 miles on that tank, should give you an idea about how empty I was when I pulled in the station) and stopping at home to shower and change. Was supposed to be there at 12 but it was to damn good to leave. Storming and snowing in Bend today anyway. Haven't had any traffic.

Forecast is up to 50" between now and Weds.

Dumping like a mofo in Bend. My buddy said the mountain was insane! I have nothing on my schedule tomorrow besides slaying deep dry pow. 15" in the last 24 plus we're supposed to get 8" more tonight. Should be right around 100" base at mid mountain by tomorrow morning. So stoked for tomorrow. High is forecast for 12* and the winds are supposed to die down dramatically.

Thigh to waist deep blower pow yesterday. Daytime high was 15*. Broke a 100" at mid mountain.

It's a blizzard in Bend Oregon today. 5 inches of snow since 9am. Mount Bachelor has almost 6 feet for the week the temps haven't been above 30. I got myself 5 days of slaying powder this week for Christmas. ;)
