wms291 Posted September 27, 2005 Share Posted September 27, 2005 I just had a custom catback made for the wagon. Stock cat to an increaser to 3" pipe to a flange. After the flange about 6" of 3" pipe Y-ing to 2.5" pipe to the mufflers. Magnaflow stock # 14326 offstet/center. Then double tips. Tips were $70, mufflers $80/each and pipes and labor was $400. Stainless pipe and tig welding. Shop has a mandrel bender. They were sent center/center mufflers but with the bender it wasn't an issue. And here is the key. No resonator. With the wagon it is very loud in the car. 40 minute trip to the mall each way and the wife bitched the whole way. My 2 1/2 year old daughter had her ears plugged:lol: . This was at about 75 mph. Mufflers are Magnaflows, Oval/Slash Cut/Rolled Tip. It sounds really quite. TRS Posted December 25, 2005 Share Posted December 25, 2005 Mine are offset in-center out ovals. I had the resonator removed and it makes a very nice bass purr while cruising. The volumn went up when I had my shorty downpipe put in, both from the exhaust and from ahead of the firewall. I still like the sound from both inside and outside. I like that fact that all the Magnaflow products have a lifetime warranty. I think the driver side muffler is a little off; angled outward...but it looks ok if you don't stare...
