I did this to quiet down the Perrin TBE and it help tremendously. A also had to do my STi. That car has no sound deadening material at all.

It also happened to me one time at about the 2 month mark...has never done it since-we've got 12,000 miles on the car. Very wierd. And why only one time for most of us?
