I know the seats that I can swap in but what about the center console and door panels? Door panels no. However, you can use the center console with some minor modifications. Same wiht the carpet. Stormhammer
Question about the SUS suspension then - are the struts "taller" than say, a 2.5GT's? or are they all the same around and it just comes down to the springs
Jab83
I'm thinking taller. lol. But heck if i know
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 15, 2011 I Donated Share Posted September 15, 2011 The SUS is basically an outback sedan. Taller struts and springs compared to the GT and the L -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." JAC Wagon
Anyone here installed a WRX or STi catback exhaust on their NA? Ive seen the mod threads, but I have a question about the sound. Did it effect the sound at all or did it just make it louder? I want a DEEPER and LOUDER rumble. Im about to purchase an HKS Hi-Power Catback. I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 28, 2011 I Donated Share Posted September 28, 2011 Its a little bit of a deeper tone. The volume of it isn't much different though -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." JAC Wagon
But I bet it will be compared to my stock pipe (header back to the magnaflow muffler has the cat and a few resonators) Right? Louder, deeper? You think? I dont wanna spend $225 plus fab parts and time just to be dissapointed
lulzcow
I do have the stock WRX exhaust installed on my ride. I wish I could tell you about the sound vs. stock, but it came on the car when I purchased it. I do know, it sounds a lot deeper on my 2.5 then my friends 2.2 with a large diameter muffler. In regards to HKS....it's HKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
JAC Wagon
Im gonna buy it and just hang on to it even if I dont like the sound with my NA motor since Im doing a turbo swap in spring hopefully.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 29, 2011 I Donated Share Posted September 29, 2011 I think thats the best thing to do. I would just live with your stock exhaust until you do your swap. That way you have more money to put towards your swap. Start gathering parts now....its less financially devastating to spread it over a long period of time rather then buying everything at once. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." JAC Wagon
Well if I buy this HKS then all I need is a fabed mid pipe (4-6 inches at most with a rotated bracket) So I will try and do that this week since Im off.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 29, 2011 I Donated Share Posted September 29, 2011 Get the HKS and then just modify it accordingly (if you even need to at all) for your turbo setup. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." JAC Wagon
Its already setup for a turbo car, all I need to do is fab a small pipe to make it work with my L pipe after my header. then If its not loud enough... I can replace the L pipe with a catless straight
Jab83
yours is turbo'd???? jack i thought you were running NA 2.5 @_@
JAC Wagon
*shaking my head* I AM running 2.5 NA, this pipe is for a turbo'd car. All I need to do is fab a pipe to make it work for my NA motor and then when I DO swap then I have this already and all i do is unbolt the pipe I made. Jab83
Oh cool.. good idea. I didn't know you could do that. hmmmmm awesome. I still cant choose what i wanna do. about turbo/engine. i dont know if i will swap out the 2.2 or just turbo the 2.2.. :/ so hard to choose.. or i could go big and do the h6 swap. 3.3 :/
